A great all in resort with good facilities for all the family. Food was better quality than I expected for an all inclusive. Recommend if you want good value relaxation and have teenagers! Only issue we had was the wastage of paper cups/plates.

Its a flop and drop resort with lots of entertainment, eating options, drinking options, suitable for all ages. Sunbeds next to pool were hard to get at times. Access to Beachcomber club was great. We loved our stay (August 2025) at the Royal And Imperial Belvedere hotel. Our room was great, newly decorated and spotlessly clean. The main dining area is really big and being able to sit outside meant you didn't feel like you were going to the same restaurant for every meal! Lots of fresh food options, the grill and the salad bars were excellent. The causal dining options were also great with a range of family friendly food available. Having a separate bar area from the entertainment means you can choose a more peaceful spot in the evening, or get involved in the fun. The pools are fab - a 50 metre pool on holiday! Even when it was busy it didn't feel busy. Plenty of sunbeds available around the pools or on the peaceful sun terrace. Theres not a lot to walk to nearby and the local beaches are taken up by sunbeds from the bars, but we'd recommend a walk into Koutouloufari for a look round the shops or a drink in the evening.

The property is good, half of the staff is rude. Food is terrible! No matter if you eat from the buffet, the pizza or lace or the reservation restaurant. The food is very badly prepared. Never going back!

If you have any questions, you were warmly welcomed, I found it good that the service is well trained, some could even speak German. In the hotel itself there are offers every day for young and old, which I found particularly nice. We tolerated the food well, every day something different is offered. Very varied, many salads, different meat, rice, potatoes, pasta or fries to choose from. I can highly recommend the hotel, because even in bad weather it can be endured very well.

Just had 5 nights at this hotel (late October) and it was wonderful. Busy enough to feel part of something, quiet enough so that there were no queues at all for food (which was plentiful, varied and delicious) and plenty of space in every area (poolside, restaurants, etc). Room was comfy, pools were lovely (if a little cold), sun loungers were plentiful, staff were great (my daughter and I did sunset yoga every day - bliss) and only a 25 minute taxi ride from Heraklion Airport. Deserves every one of it's 4 stars.

Room was amazing we were upgraded. A la carte restaurant was good. Sunbeds very comfy and lots of nice areas for sunbathing. Lovely views from the hotel as it’s on the hillside overlooking the sea. Buffet was ok but especially enjoyed the giros in the snack bar. Lots of children this is a family orientated hotel.

Family vacation with 2 adults and 3 children (ages 2, 6 and 9). We had a blast. Great pool area for kids. A lot of restaurants at the hotel. Clean and maintained. Highly recommended for families.

We spent 7 nights at this hotel. Close to restaurants and to loads of souvenir shops. The rooms were nice and clean. This hotel is made of two resorts the Imperial and Belvedere. They put us at the Belvedere I would say not as nice as the Imperial. There were tons of families with kids and at times it was a bit loud across hallways and so forth. We tried all inclusive for once. The food was good but all inclusive is definitely not our thing since we like to experience different places and restaurants. Overall we like the areas and great views. You should try the restaurant in the resort that specializes in Greek cuisine especially the lamb Antikristo. You have to pay $25 per person per dinner extra not included in the package but totally worth it.

Amazing Family Stay with Exceptional Service

Everything was amazing: the quick and friendly check-in, the helpful staff member who escorted us to our room with the luggage, and the room with the hot tub was clean, comfortable, and perfect for large families – probably one of the best family rooms I've stayed in. I was initially concerned about the salty water in the pools, but it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. The check-out process was also quick, and the kind front desk lady was very accommodating with my late check-out request.

Overall a decent hotel, quite large, and All Inclusive worked well. Good choice of food & drink options throughout the day. Animation team enthusiastic with a fairly reasonable program of activities. Nightly entertainment could be improved with more shows. We were here as the hotel was preparing to close for winter and it felt as though the shutdown was taking place before all the guests had left and the facilities were dwindling by the day! Nevertheless, we enjoyed our holiday and would return here!

Still here now on our last day, the stay has been brilliant, can't fault any of the food, all of the staff are very helpful, even a surprise bottle of wine and hand crafted dessert delivered to our room for my fiancees birthday, completely unexpected, couldn't want for more, We're already looking in booking back in and will bring the kids next time, the is always something going on, the animation team were so energetic non stop all day and night, first night we went for a walk and I was going to buy a gyros, only to find they are part of the all inclusive poolside menu, must have had 2-3 everyday, just perfect, finished off with a relaxing massage today by the expert hands of the on site massage therapists, sorry to be going home, the entire trip has just been nothing short of spectacular, thank you to all of the staff here at the royal belvedere we will be back

We just got back from Crete. The Royal Belvedere Resort offers various pools, dining and recreation options for couples and families. We really went for the Olympic 50 meter swimming pool. We swim laps and this was a challenge as our regular pool is 25 meters. Also we went a little off season. Food was good and plenty of it. We also took a taxi to the Old Hersonissos village and walked back. My wife had a great time shopping by the beach area shops. We will go back.

Positive: Location, Restaurant with International food all-inclusive with good quality for about thousand people (every day/every hour/every drink/food), Entertainment not annoying. Neutral: Rooms "to refresh", clearing common areas, location without convention with beach, reception (confusion and not coordinate). Negative: clearing room (very surface and change towels only) and run every morning for occuped sunbed near pools (before 7.00 am): in August.

Pros-The location of the hotel is in walking distance to lots or restaurants, shopping areas and it's easy to catch a cab outside the gate. The food is good! My expectations for this was low because usually the food at all-inclusive resorts are a hit or miss. The resort is clean and seems well maintained. I was surprised with a bottle of wine and dessert was waiting for me with a "happy birthday " that was thoughtful and I appreciated it. Cons-I've traveled numerous places and stayed in ALL-INCLUSIVE and NONE ALL-INCLUSIVE Resorts and never have I ever had to pay to use the safe. Paying 3 Euro's a day to use the safe inside of the room that I paid ALL-INCLUSIVE for is ridiculous. I only found out there was a charge because I kept getting an error once I tried to unlock it and had to call receptionist. I was told I had to come pay and someone will come and unlock it. Once my partner got to the receptionist and told them we were no longer going to use it, the guy said; then they wouldn't charge then and after all it's been less than 24 hrs since we started using it. They came unlocked it, we took our stuff out and they locked it. 1 Euro foe beach towels and 2 Euro's for safe in luggage room. Restaurants and snack bars close at 9:30, Bars close at 1:00 am but there in a mini market that seems to be open late or maybe even 24 hrs. What is the point of all-inclusive if there are hidden fees? If you use a washcloth bring your own, (Face & bath towel provided)

We had an amazing time at this resort!! Exceeded our expectations!! The staff and animators were so friendly and went out of their way to make our stay memorable!! So many activities for kids and adults!! Food was great and there were many options if you are vegetarian! We are a family of 5 and the suites were very spacious! Loved the hot tub in our balcony and the beautiful view!! We really enjoyed all the activities and shows with the animators which are super friendly and get to know you during your stay! Our kids loved that! There is a very nice lady that has a shop and does beautiful unique braids for the kids! I highly recommend! The staff at the wellness center were amazing and gave our kids a unique chocolate massage! We also got our kids private tennis lessons with Mark at BreakAway Tennis and he was amazing with the and paid close attention to their individual needs! Many beautiful beaches within a 20 minute cab ride or you can walk to Star Beach which is a 10 Minute walk. You also have many shops and restaurants close by which is great!! We will definitely be coming back!!
