"It was a basic clean double room. Couple of drawbacks no tea and coffee and there was a small step up to the bathroom which I kept stubbing my toes on. Very convenient for rail station, 5 min walk. Tram 3 min away or walk to centre 15 mins. Good price."
"The hotel is in a great location, central to the old town and both walking distance and on the tram route to the inner neustadt, which was really fun to visit. The train station was about a 20 minute walk away. Everything was clean and modern in a historic building. Breakfast was great, complete with complementary mimosas. We would definitely stay here again. Highly recommend."
"The hotel is located close to historic portion of the city and major shopping areas. However, the area itself is very quiet, not a lot of happeninng around. The heart of the city is located across the river in the hipster area that also has more authentic restaurants. Rooms are nice and clean, but bathroom is small comparing to the size of the room. Waiting staff at the brekfast restaurant is not helpful, most of them will not stop by to assist you. Finally, beware of the so called "coupons" that you are given if you skip the room cleaning during your stay. They entitle you to bare minimum."
"The biggest highlight of this hotel is its location. It was within easy walking distance of shopping, sightseeing, plenty of dining options, and the train station, making it an excellent base for exploring the area. That convenience is the main reason I'm giving it 4 stars.
The hotel itself is modern and well maintained. However, we didn't care for the room design. The shower and toilet were enclosed with frosted glass. While you couldn't actually see through it, it still felt like there was very little privacy, which made the layout uncomfortable for us.
Housekeeping could also be improved. During our stay, the shower soap wasn't refilled after the room was cleaned, which was an inconvenience.
Finally, I booked through Expedia and have status that included a hotel perk, but nothing was offered or acknowledged during our stay.
Overall, the excellent location outweighed the negatives, but there are a few service and design issues that kept this from being a 5-star experience."
"Fantastic location with walking distance to all major sightseeing locations. Bathroom set up is strange that it is not a separate room with privacy. Room is spacious, however, it feels a bit dated. Overall, a super central location for tourism none can compare."
"Staff was excellent and always helpful. The location is superb if you're in Dresden for cultural activities, e.g., the opera and museums. Public transport was also readily available. Surrounded by many restaurants so lots of choices are available. The breakfast was ample, but very predictable food choices. Will definitely stay at Amedia again on my next trip to Dresden."
