"Do no stay at this hotel, it is terrible. It was totally run down. The curtains were ripped and hadn't been washed in years. The bathroom was filthy with brown stains in toilet and black grime on shower seals. The sink had hard toothpaste left on it obviously from the guests before us. The room itself was thick with dust and the carpet was covered in stains and hadn't been hoovered in weeks.Even the walls had dirty marks all over them We had booked 2 rooms and both were as bad as each other. "Th Leicester Inn is a very old listed property and as such has some wonderful aspects giving it great character. Being old and listed also means that modern features like double glazing and air conditioning are not present and we stayed on one of the hottest days of the year. Our room was very hot but a fan was provided and we were able to have an open window. There is a good size car park at the rear of the Inn. Food and service were superb."

"Quirky stay in Tunbridge Wells. The theme is fun and throughout the restaurant and hotel- decorations, staff uniforms, music and menu options. Lots of parking right outside. Food was lovely. The breakfast had unlimited coffee and juices and lots of options. The only downside was we went in the heatwave and the only thing available was a small desk fan so the heat was unbearable in the room so we slept really badly, could do with additional larger fans in the rooms"

The food was always great particularly the breakfast and came out wonderfully hot and on hot place which is so often an issue in other hotels. It's lovely to sit out in the garden and we were staying while the World Cup and Wimbledon were on and it was easy to catch the games in the evening but also lots of space to get away from the action. "The room was lovely. We couldn't open 2 of the windows so it was an incredibly stuffy night. There was a fan provided but opening the windows would have been a better option. A small thing really."

"Debra and Drew were very welcoming hosts. We used The Barn as a lauch pad to visit Chartwell and Knole. Perfect choice. The accommodation was beautifully decorated and impeccably clean. We were spoilt for choice regarding local eateries. We chose The White Hart for dinner and it was top knotch. "

"Marvellous breakfast and staff who were extra helpful, finding us a room more suitable for the elderly than the original booking. Room was very convenient and clean, Both of us sadly found the beds uncomfortable and the ac very cold! Large car park at the hotel but like so many hotels these days, the main dining room was unexpectedly closed to individual guests in the evenings due to a party booking, both the nights we were there. Fortunately we found a fantastic pub 5 minutes walk away...

"We had pre booked an early check-in for noon. We arrived at 12.10 and there was much confusion and delays which meant we got in at 12.30. Four adults had to change and get ready for a wedding and it cut our time down and caused unnecessary stress. One person at check-in on a Saturday when there's tons of weddings is not good. She was overwhelmed with baggage and queues of guests. We were charged £40 extra for this and it should have been much smoother than it was. "
