Needed a cheap place to stay for an overnight visit. Drove Friday for a Saturday appointment. Havelock Inn and Suites was the 3rd cheapest option, but had higher ratings than the 2 cheaper choices.
About what you would expect. Not too much around it. A nice open field across from it. Nothing sketchy feeling about the area. I drove a bit in either direction to get something to eat. Settled on a decent pizza place up the road in a strip mall.
You checked in via an outdoor window, kind of like an old school movie ticket window. The attendant was friendly enough and quick in getting me checked in. There were only 3 or 4 other cars in the lot, so it was quiet. My room was on the second floor. The room was clean enough, the television worked, and the bed was pretty comfortable. Non smoking. I was near the road, and got a little truck noise, but not too bad, and i slept all night. Tnere was an ice machine that worked.
Overall, worth the money. If i wanted a nicer place, im sure i could find one for 2 or 3 times the cost, but i really just needed a quiet, clean, safe place to sleep. Thats what i got.
