"Friendly staff with a great location and lively pub"

"This is an excellent hotel. It is a fairly typical modern mid range hotel in itself, but seems to be better maintained and run than most. When we arrived we were warmly welcomed and checked in by a chap called Andrew, who was also around at breakfast the following morning, working very hard and looking like he knew exactly what he was doing. I wouldn't often single out an employee but I thought he deserves the praise. The hotel has a small but good lgym downstairs. The waffle maker at...

"Excellent value for money. Very comfortable beds and spacious room. Breakfast was excellent."

"The staff were very friendly, courteous, and helpful. The room we received was very comfortable and clean. Parking was available near the hotel."

"A beautiful room, so relaxing. We loved it all. Only shame was that always greeted with empty reception, but didn’t have to wait too long x"

"Very nice surprise with the location at the bottom of Roseberry Toppin , didn’t know about this until we arrived . The hotel is a treat to stay there. We were going to a friends house in Whitby and travelling from west of Scotland. Hence it was good to stop off , we visited Stokesley near bye and loved the English village life . We will stop here again and the cost was worth it."

"Lovely stay - fast check in, great lunch in the restaurant and an even better breakfast was had. We got a b&b deal through Expedia which included a full continental breakfast for starters and then a hot meal. I had eggs Benedict and my husband had the full English. Very nice setting and outlook. Only downside is that the room gets very hot - had to use the fan all night. And then there were some noisy occupants above us who decided to put tv on around 2am!!"

"The room had everything we needed, but a microwave would have been a bonus. There was a little kitchenette area with a kettle and a fridge and breakfast items for a continental type breakfast. Some of the cereal packets were out of date and the cereal bowls had dried cereal stuck to them. There was a table and four chairs and a settee and a TV in the room."

"Great stay"

"The lady on reception last night was lovely. Showed us round the facilities and to my room. Bedroom was clean and tidy. Was going for an operation so want able to do breakfast but I’d definitely book again and bring my girls. The hotel was a lovely old manor style house with all its features."

"This is a mixed review. From the pictures given on expedia you are expecting a large hotel. It is not, it is a terraced house with multiple rooms in a run down area but having said that, the host was lovely, the property although needs work, is clean and tidy and very quiet. The bed was comfortable and the tea/coffee and biscuits were a very nice addition. It has a large smart TV which has a great reception. I was pleasantly surprised"

"Ideally located on Yarm High Street. Clean and comfortable room and cottage. Helpful and friendly host."
