"A very quaint period public house. Our room was quite small but definitely adequate for our 2 night stay. Obviously to be expected with a quaint period public house. The bar was well stocked and plenty of room at the bar, surrounding tables and restaurant. The staff were very knowledgeable, engaging and friendly. "best hotel in the area, very well maintained and newly renovated. will come again! food was lovely"

"Friendly and helpful people. Smallish room with small shower. Decent pub food"

"All my needs were met, plus, there was a fridge with proper milk in it for me. Also some breakfast foods and yoghurt, cereal, fruit and all hot drinks with a kettle. I had everthing I needed and had two very good night's sleep. I met the cleaner in the morning and she was extremely friendly and made sure I had my supplies replenished there and then."

"The staff were very friendly and helpful and I would stay at The Crown again without hesitation, however as I am disabled there are not enough parking spaces available for disabled guests staying at the hotel. The bays at the front of the hotel (3) were, at most times occupied by non blue badge holders."

"Stayed for 1 night. Excellent location close to Battle and scenic views, amazing staff, and great experience overall."

"Good location for a wedding close by. The room was great value for the price we paid and the staff were lovely."

"The room was clean. The bathroom light didn't work and we were told we would have to use the communal bathroom instead. Couldn't open the window. Room had air vent from kitchen outside window."
