La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Lexington Park - Patuxent
10/10 Excellent
"My family and I had a great stay at this LaQuinta location for a funeral . David was such a great help checking us in. There were lots of shopping and restaurants near by to choose from if needed. The rooms were roomy and clean."

"Nice bed , quiet, spacious room, good breakfast. Pretty good location"
Hampton Inn by Hilton Lexington Park
8/10 Good
"Arrived for check in & grabbed the keys without checking the room. Upon return (much later that evening/early morning hours) I entered the room to find it wasn’t what I booked. Didn’t have sofa bed as advertised, so I head to the front desk. The lady ignored me ringing the bell, ignored me calling the front desk phone & remained in the room with the camera footage. Eventually she emerged & gave me nothing but a hard time. I informed her there was no where for my children to sleep & showed her my booking. She continually said she couldn’t override to move my room. About 15 minutes later she magically gave me new keys to another room. Place is clean, well kept & local to food/gas, etc. This may have been a one off situation but it was not handled well."
Sandaway Suites & Beach

"The room was very clean and had a beautiful view of the water. The bed was old and slightly uncomfortable though. Overall, it was a nice stay"
Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay
10/10 Excellent
"We loved everything about this place. The view from the pool of the Choptank River was absolutely stunning."
Quality Inn Solomons - Beacon Marina
8/10 Good
"Everything was good, standard hotel/motel stuff: little coffee pot, mini-fridge, microwave, tv,a/c - everything worked as expected, furniture, carpeting, lights, bathroom all looked newish and everything was very clean. Desk folk were pleasant, didn’t have much interaction. The big plus is the location, right by a huge marina (if you like looking at boats) and the Calvert Marine Museum- combines natural history and the commercial history of the area, has the Drum Point lighthouse (you can tour) and a boat tour of Patuxent Harbor, plus fossils, river otters, fish. Calvert Cliffs / Flag Pond parks are a 10 minute drive if you want to dig for fossils yourself. So: comfortable place, very reasonably priced, close to all sorts of stuff; definitely worth it."
Wylder Tilghman Island

"We are experienced travelers so expect certain information and common amenities at check-in or in the room. The following were NOT provided and/or were issues for us ... 1. Guest's WIFI Password was not provided at Reception or on a card in the room. 2. Two remotes were required to operate the TV with no instructions for how to use them. 3. There were no Ice Machines for Guests' use. 4. The Bathtub was quite old and slippery but no bath mat was provided. 5. The bath/shower mixing valve was very old, corroded and hard to turn ON/OFF. 6. The filter in the air conditioner was very dirty. 7. No hairdryer was provided in the room. 8. Before our arrival, the room was sprayed with a strong perfume that took the better part of a day to dissipate. 9. No telephone in the room to call the front desk or restaurant. 10. There aren't enough Chez Lounges around the pool. On the other hand, the following were plusses ... 1. The property and amenities offered are excellent. 2. The views of the Chesapeake are beautiful. 3. The grounds are well maintained with lots of varied seating options. 4. The help, wait staff and others were friendly, well-trained and helpful. 5. The food in the restaurant and drinks served from the bar were of good quality and not overpriced. I'm pleased to speak with the Manager about any of the foregoing if he/she wishes. F. J.
