"I wasnt in the room much as it was a business trip. It was ok as far as upkeep and cleanliness. Ive seen better and I've seen far worse. Could use a little TLC. Everyone especially the front desk, was very nice and helpful."

"Staff great. Do not be deceived by the outdoor appearance which looks dated. The rooms are very clean; nice bedding and pillows, very simple. Bathroom totally functional. Great value for the price and superb location. I'm very happy I stayed there. And the air conditioning, one of those wall units, was reasonably quiet. Parking easy."

"The cabins are great, just what I wanted. You can wake up with forest view. Start a camp fire, enjoy the quietness. The staff very well communicated during my stay. I get my access code and items through message. Very prompt response. They will come for pickup trash and deliver towels."

"We went to the spread Eagle Tavern and Inn for an overnight stay for a special birthday trip. We had never been there before but had found the information on the Internet very unique and interesting. Upon arriving at the property, we were greeted with a very friendly desk attendant, that checked us in and showed us to our room, which was the Madison room. The room and bathroom were very clean. The room was absolutely gorgeous with a fireplace, antique furnishings and the unique bathroom. There were also special touches that the Inn took to make you feel at home. There were mints left on the bed, complementary bottles of water and chocolate chip cookies to enjoy. We had reservations for dinner in the tavern to eat there that evening. The service was wonderful and the food was excellent. The restaurant staff went above and beyond to make you feel comfortable and also provided interesting information about the tavern and it’s history It was encouraged for guests and restaurant patrons to walk around the Inn and explore the three floors. Around every nook and cranny, there were secret doors or interesting hallways that led you to another part of the Inn. The basement offered its own history as you walked through the halls of once an underground railroad. We would definitely recommend this place for accommodations and for dinner while it gives you the ambience, a rich history and a unique experience that you will never forget."

"First of all, the staff are excellent, from the manager to the front desk, the housekeepers, everyone is helpful and accommodating. The place honestly looks a bit sketchy from the outside, but inside all is well. Our room was comfortable, clean, and well supplied with everything we needed. We enjoyed breakfast every day, and the 24/7 coffee and tea. But the people are the best of all."
