"Lobby, including the breakfast area was clean and inviting. Room was clean. Bathroom was small. Room AC produced a fishy smell that overpowered the room, but not so bad that you couldn’t get used to it. Staff informed us that the breakfast buffet started at 6AM. That wasn’t true for the weekend. It started at 6:30AM. Beds were comfortable. Room was quiet. Elevator to second floor did not work. Fortunately we were on first floor. Toilet tissue and nose tissue were thin single ply. Maid service was provided only after 3 days unless specifically requested. That meant towels were used repeatedly. Access to Springfield area attractions was good."

"Great location, comfortable and quirky. You can tell the hotel is older and has had updates but we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The rooftop bar and outdoor seating area with gas fire pits was perfect for hanging out on a cool evening. Comfortable bed and very nice staff. We will stay again when visiting our MSU student."
