Nothing but love for Yen Hidden Valley! It's beautifully located in the 'butterfly valley'. My cabin had a view over the valley and I could see cows crazing in the valley from my bed. The food was fantastic as well.

Ten hidden valley was extremely tranquil and beautiful. The suite was comfortable and the pool area was dreamy. We loved walking around the property, taking in the beauty of the valley as well as the animals of the neighbors. The staff was wonderful, very accommodating and helpful. We would love to book another trip to cat ba and stay at Yen’s.

A perfect location for rock climbers

We came to Cat Ba island with the main purpose of climbing, and picked this hotel for the perfect location right next to the best crag on the island (Butterfly Valley). The lovely owners, clean/modern room, and excellent restaurant made this the best accommodation in our entire Vietnam trip. The hotel just opened 8 months ago so there weren’t many reviews to go on - after spending a week here, we can confidently say this is one of the hidden gems of Cat Ba and the only place we’d stay at if we return. We rented a scooter directly from the owner and went down to Cat Ba town every night for dinner and drinks. You definitely get the best of both worlds staying in a beautiful and quiet rural area while still having all the city amenities only 20 minutes away. And I can’t say enough at how wonderful the owners of this place are - they truly care about their guests, going above and beyond in so many ways to make it a great experience for us.
