Great location, classic alpine feel. We stayed 2 nights as a family of 6, have nice breakfast for all with a view of jungfraujoch.

A little bit far from village center but free bus pass helps. Not so much dining choice near the hotel so the free bus is a good perk. Hotel was great, Staff pleasant and helpful, Great Breakfast.

The views were incredible! It was walkable to the Main Street. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the staff was extremely nice. We loved that breakfast was offered and it was excellent. We would definitely stay here again!

The hotel location is a bit far away from the train station. The view from the room window was fantastic. The breakfast service was inconvenient for the tourist who has to leave earlier, because the breakfast service starts at 7:30.

The staff are so helpful! Breakfast buffet was wonderful! The rooms were clean, well furnished & well maintained. We had a balcony with a pretty view of the mountains. It is located very close to Pfingstegg lift and amazing Gletscherschlucgt Glacier Canyon. We walked to Grindalwald train station - do not get off at terminal station. They did a bag of laundry for me & returned it to the room while we were gone. Restaurants & church in walking distance. Easy to get to lifts for mountains. Would stay there again if I am lucky enough to return.

Our say at hotel residence.

We had a fantastic time in grindelwald hotel Residence was very good and the location was in a beautiful area of grindelwald with stunning views of the mountains a and not to far to walk the centre, staff in hotel Residence were excellent and very helpful, our room was very clean and spacious with two balconies, breakfast was very good with plenty of choice. Overall hotel Residence was excellent and we would definitely go there again.

The whole property needs to be renovated. From the carpet to the faucet in the bathroom looked as if they were from the 60s. The breakfast was great and the view from our terrace was amazing.

Property offered a great price, quite easy to find & located in convenient walking distance of village shops & amenities. Staff we're punctual, welcoming, helpful & everything was organised. Room was kept in good order daily, though would be better if can be equipped with a fan / air conditioning system. Breakfast buffet is served daily & offers a good selection. Recommend sitting on porch to get view of mountains. Overall a great place to stay when visiting Grindelwald. Danke

Fantastic Views

Great hotel in Grindelwald. The staff was very friendly and the complimentary breakfast was very good. We had a fantastic view of the Eiger and Monch mountains that captivated us. I suggest requesting a room with a view of these mountains as opposed to the other side that looks towards Mount First. That side isn't bad, but the view towards Eiger and Monch is fantastic. The mountains feel close enough to touch. It's a 15 to 20 minute walk to the main train station, but there are also buses that make it easy to get around.

Great view for a good price.

Great view from the balcony, really worth it. Good price, and parking included in the price. Staff was very helpful, helped us with the breakfast package as we left before breakfast time. Extra sleeping spaces in the living room were helpful to create some privacy for a group of friends. Pretty close to the city centre, yet in a quiet zone. On the downside, the hotel, rooms and furniture are a bit dated and weathered. Not critically though.

The staff and breakfast were amazing. The beds were incredibly uncomfortable and very very worn out. The bathroom is very worn and there was black mold in the shower. The shower also didn't get warm at all. Very thin walls so it was hard to sleep. Good location but with so many other hotels in the area, I would not recommend this one.
