"Pension Barbara is a very cosy and clean pension right next to the paths leading up to The Brocken. The hostess was very sweet and attentive, and we had a good stay. Schierke as a town is a bit dated and quiet in the autumn, when we visited. Is was difficulty to find a place to just have a couple of drinks etc. The national park, Brocken and paths are all excellent for a short hiking-holiday. Great nature, chalenging paths (if you want it), nice restaurant on the summit."

"We stayed for 3 nights. Friendly staff in the restaurant. Everything worked and the apartments are spacious and so cozy. Very baby friendly! Although a bit of noise at night from other guests. Overall great stay with a nice location. "

"Vandet i poolen var for koldt. Den ene morgen var der ikke vandtryk på badeværelset. Der burde være kode til cykelkælder i stedet for nøgle der skulle hentes og afleveres med samme i receptionen."

"Rigtig pæn og ren lejlighed. Sengene var meget behagelige (også sovesofaen). Der manglede dog nogle større knive (brødkniv mm.) i køkkenet, men det er også det eneste “negative” omkring hele lejligheden. Parkeringen var nem og gratis, med parkering lige ude foran. Kan kun anbefales. "

"Der Aufenthalt war sehr angenehm. Es ist eine sehr schöne, moderne Unterkunft. In einem Zimmer waren zwar drei Spinnen offenbar schon länger an der Decke aber das war auch das Zimmer mit Tür zum Balkon. Der Rest war sehr sauber. Ansonsten hat check in mittelmäßig funktioniert. Ich habe die Unterkunft mit meinen Kindern zusammen gebucht, zum Check in muss man aber ein Alter über 18 angeben. Das kann verbessert werden. Sehr leckeres und optisch ansehnliches Frühstücksbuffett. Fazit: tolle...

"Die Unterkunft ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen aber das Zimmer war sauber und es gab sogar eine Flasche gratis Mineralwasser. Preis Leistungsverhältnis TOP! Die Mitarbeiter an der Rezeption und beim Frühstück waren sehr freundlich. Ich komme gerne wieder. "

"This is one of the best hotels that I have stayed. It has plenty of character. The staff are fantastic, the hotel is spotless. The resturant is very good. Should I return to Wernigerode, I will be staying here."
