"The hotel is on a slope facing the pacific coast and the view is incredible if the weather is clear. But you don’t have access to the beach. The room is well equipped and clean. However our room has a two large windows close to the ceiling that don’t have curtains. So it was quite bright at night. The breakfast is very limited"

"We only got to stay one night on an Oregon coast road trip, and we wish we had more time!! It was such a beautiful peaceful location, with amazing sunsets! Also, two different places to eat right below it, which was so convenient and yummy!! The rooms are a little dated, but so clean and in such a lovely spot, that there are it's easy to overlook!! I would call this a hidden gem, with it's beautiful placement and the lovely people we met at the hotel, and the local restaurants!!"

"Such a great find in Ukiah. I stayed here one night on my way to LA from Seattle. Loved it so much, I stayed another night in my way back home. The staff was super friendly, rooms were updated, clean and beds comfy. Ukiah is a great little town. I would definitely come back to the Orchard Hotel."

"The property was excellent. The rooms were spacious, the bed was comfortable and the shower pressure outstanding. My husband and I were very disappointed however with the breakfast provided. There was very little choice - and only carbohydrates - cereal, bread, waffles, bagels and english muffins. Only bananas as the fruit. There was juice available, which we did not drink. There was no protein available to eat....yogurt, or hard cooked eggs would have been perfect. Both my husband and I are diabetic and need something besides carbohydrates for breakfast. His blood sugar went through the roof after he ate (the high 200's). Please consider providing protein with your breakfast offerings."

"This is one of my favorite places to stay. Lovely, charming, unhurried with beautiful architecture and grounds. The staff was helpful and friendly. The room was exactly as I recall it being roughly 12 years ago - spacious, lovingly decorated, attentive details everywhere with luxurious, high quality furnishings. The Madrones is a welcome respite in Anderson Valley and great home base for local wine tasting. The restaurant was still as cozy and intimate as I remembered, with simple but carefully crafted dishes. The dining courtyard could not be more charming. The ambiance is unbeatable at The Madrones and our experience was overwhelmingly positive. (There were a couple of minor areas of improvement: the tv wasn't properly working - but staff provided a half bottle of wine to make up for this - and the large blinds and bathroom ceiling could use dusting/cobweb removal.) All else was spotless and well maintained. I would return again and again and highly recommend The Madrones."
