"We had a lovely stay and were made to feel extremely welcome. The room was very clean, modern and comfortable. Walking distance from town and close to multi-storey carpark, which was useful. There was a great selection for breakfast and it was possible to choose what you wanted for a cooked breakfast. Fantastic, quirky stay with mugshots of criminals lining the walls and prison doors into rooms. Would definitely stay again"

"My husband and I stayed in the Garden Suite and thought it was absolutely lovely. Although the room isn’t located within the pub itself, it sits just across the road, tucked away behind the building, which made it wonderfully quiet and very private. Everything was spotlessly clean, and we were delighted to find that the suite included its own lounge and a gorgeous bathroom on the ground floor, with stairs leading up to the main bedroom. I called, texted, and left a WhatsApp message on that number, but received no response for at least an hour.When I finally received a text message with details for a new room, I found the bed was broken and the room was freezing cold. A staff member told me he would come to fix the issue but ultimately never showed...

"Breakfast needs more choice especially the fruit, the pears were hard as rock, no bananas, no fruit salad. No beans for ages, they need to keep an eye on the hotplates. Invest in a coffee machine so there's a variety. Maybe also a bell at the downstairs bar. "
