"Room was great and hotel was next to Winchester Cathedral. We spent 3 nights there and made day trips out to Stonehenge, Jane Austen’s house, etc. The included full breakfast was exceptional! Staff was very friendly."

"Small but perfectly formed room. Comfy if squeaky bed. Good brekkers. No tea making facilities in room but the dining room is available 24h if you need a cuppa. Next door to black boy pub - quirky and well worth an hour or two whilst sinking some beers."

"Amazing! The room was very classy with a Japanese twist. I ate in the restaurant downstairs and had the 5 course tasting menu with paired Sake. Wow! So good thank you guys! Will be back!"

"The room was well proportioned and it has a lift, Yeah! So many places in England you have to try dragging 20kg bags upstairs. The food was really good which surprised ups as the menus did not look exciting but was well cooked and very tasty"

"We stayed as a stop over for one night. We selected the hotel based on location and a lift as we had a heavy bag. When we’re arrived all parking was taken so we parked directly in front of the hotel and were told it was council owned and we needed to park and display - no help with finding the park pay area even though it was obvious we were travelling from overseas. It ended up costing us less than half of what the hotel charged. Despite wandering along many corridors I couldn’t find our room...

"The view of Winchester Cathedral from my bedroom was amazing. All of the staff were extremely helpful and positive including promptly resolving air temperature issues in my room. The room was spotlessly clean. But the room felt rather tired with scratched and battered furniture and a dated bathroom. The decor in the bar and restaurant did not reflect the historic location of the building and seemed very generic and unimaginative"

"We had a lovely stay. Andrew was a great host and showed us everything we needed. The bar was humming and our dinner was fabulous. We had a great nights sleep. The renovated bathroom was excellent and had a nice big shower. Room 2 was lovely overall. Breakfast in the morning was excellent.. Overall we had a lovely overnight stay at the Cricketers Inn and would not hesitate to stay here again when in the area. "

"Upon arrival, I was initially assigned an occupied room. The place was unstaffed, and the provided phone number was unreachable. I had to ask other guests for an alternative number. I called, texted, and left a WhatsApp message on that number, but received no response for at least an hour.When I finally received a text message with details for a new room, I found the bed was broken and the room was freezing cold. A staff member told me he would come to fix the issue but ultimately never showed...
