"Accommodation is fine. Breakfast menu is a selection of fried, unhealthy or coated in butter. Needs to be better to compete with other local providers"

"Check in was a bit antiquated. Paper and pen in the 21st century. Also 2 reception desks but with unequal queues. Bend linen a bit starchy, and of course they all use that industrial cleaner from sketchleys which smells terrible The towels smelt terrible as well It really should be that the linen and towels are cleaned with a domestic soap powder like aerial or bold, or with a conditioner like comfort so that customers get the wow factor of the room smelling like home rather than a hospital."

"We had a lovely time, just a few things that slightly dampened the experience. Need black out blinds in the family room as the light was streaming through until late and with the heat as well the children couldn't get to sleep until it went dark. The gastro pub food l would give a miss in future, very bland, dry and of poor quality but high prices. We would 100% come back though."

"The reception staff were excellent so polite and helpful. Great classy hotel. Service is excellent in all areas. Room was very quirky but in a nice way . Very dark wallpaper lovely huge bed and linens. Breakfast was ok for free. Capuccino was delicious. Would we go back? Definitely just not for a long while as it is being restored in September so closed for a long time. Cant wait to see refurbed hotel . "

"The double beds were comfortable pillows awful Had to change rooms for second night twin beds not large enough moved easily Pillows equally as awful . No walk in showers which make it difficult for people not able to use bath. Was told well if it’s only for one night did it matter and it was business people using hotel Room 111 opposite housekeeping i had to complain three times from 8am-10 for noisy chatter and Five staff were outside my door laughing and joking. "The counter, breakfast staff were helpful and pleasant. What I did not like and should have made a fuss about was the evening meal. The fries were over cooked and hard. The onion rings had been cremated, dark brown and burnt. I left half the meal as it was disgusting. I thought then and hoped the morning breakfast wasn’t going to be the same. Luckily it was excellent, must have a different chef for evening and breakfast meals."

"We had a wonderful stay here for my dad’s80th and the staff were so welcoming."

"We only had an overnight stop here, but it was a great place to stay. Staff were very friendly and helpful, and the room and general public areas of the property were all fine. We had an evening meal and a full breakfast and they were both very tasty. Having an EV charger (22kW) in the car park was a really useful bonus as we left our car to charge overnight. Would definitely stay here again."
