"The property has its bright spots like location, free light breakfast and pool area. but mostly the small things need attention. Keeping the grounds tidy and clean. Maintaining the overall look of the property. One of my main gripes is the smoking. I know people love to smoke (at least those that do, I was one of them). The room we stayed in was a non-smoking room however, It seems that at one point it was a smoking room or the guest that stayed there in the past use the bathroom as a smoking lounge. That is not good for most. Funny thing about smoking, it is hard to hide the smell (not talking about "weed" that is another thing). Need to completely isolate the smoking rooms away from the non-smoking rooms. Maybe strictly enforce it."

"I decided to write a review so that guest are able to make the best informed decisions. I booked our room to save money. I like to camp when traveling, but sometimes that’s not an option so we decided to save money. We can get over location, but there were some issues I that need to be addressed. Rooms are decent enough for $80. In any room the first thing I check is the cracks of the top sheet and where it tucks into the bed. NO issues, but I did notice that behind the bed against the wall was really gross. I also noticed the top sheet was inside out. (thoughts on this later). I left my phone while taking some time in the bathroom, and had no distractions. I couldnt help but look at where the wall meets the floor and it was caked with dust and hair. I did the whole TP swipe and it looked like it had not been cleaned in some time. Moving to the bed, my partner was wondering how often the comforter is washed, so we took it off only to notice many hairs, some long on the blanket underneath. This brought me back to the inside out top sheet and got me wondering if it was actually turned over between guests. Finally, preparing for bed and using a towel, I couldn’t help but notice the large stain… Look, I’m all for family run businesses and saving money is nice, but we both decided that there’s a floor to our cost saving, and we’ve met ours. That being said, if you wanna save $ you’ll be fine."

"Unfortunately there were amenities that weren't in use due to water issues in Kannapolis, so can't really rate those. I didn't like that when checking in no one asked for identification. That did make me a little uncomfortable as other hotels have always asked for my license to verify that I'm who I say I am. Other than that everything else was ok."

"We arrived for a late check in and stayed 3 nights with a very early check out. The night clerk on duty both at check in and check out, Heath was one of the rudest people I have ever encountered! Upon check in we walk in and apparently interrupted his doing nothing. We said we were here to check in he looked at us and said “and” no greeting no welcome. He scolded me because I put my room key by my phone and said now I have to do them over again. We got to our room, it was as described and the bed was super comfortable. Breakfast had a great selection of eggs, biscuits and gravy, sausage, bacon, and assorted fruit, yogurt and pastries. We stayed 3 nights and they did not clean our room. We did not put the sign out to not clean it and I was a little disappointed in that service. We left at 3 in the morning to check out we had a very early flight and again we ran into Heath. He did not say good morning how can I help you nothing. I stated we needed to check out and his reply was well I am in the middle of something so you will have to wait. Again so rude! I have stayed at this hotel many times, but would think twice before staying here again."
