The only thing we like is that it’s quiet.
We gathered that the staff at the property are volunteers. They were very friendly and helpful but the overall level of service fell below that of a basic lodging. We had to clean out the cups and plates in the cabin and put out the empty bottles and trash in the bin that’s several steps away. The shower curtain showed its age and its need to be washed (bottom part is already discolored). The towels and beddings were not comfortable.
The property’s location is far from downtown Golden (perhaps at least 20 kms away) and there are no nearby stores/services.
Perhaps we did not read the reviews, hence the property did not meet our expectations.
