"The staff was incredibly nice and helpful with all questions we had. The hotel itself was quaint and cozy for our stay. Food was fabulous. Easy access to bus stop. Only con would be that the bed was pretty uncomfortable."

"There were unfortunately several issues with the property. There was no running water in the bathroom sink. The room was unbearably hot, with no fan or any methods of cooling. When we opened a window for ventilation, the noise from the busy street (not evident in any photos!) kept us awake. The room we booked pictured a double bed, but when we checked in there were two single beds. Worst of all, I woke up covered in bug bites! When we tried to find someone to tell them we were checking out...

"Our stay was amazing from start to finish, the hotel, restaurants, bars and rooms are beautiful. The food is absolutely incredible, the service was also brilliant. Great vibes in the evening. The music can be quite loud into the evening on a saturday so I would recommend asking for a quieter room. Great stay, thank you for having us."

"Staying on db&b basis for one night to break a journey, my expectations were not high. However I was wrong! The very ancient pub is just by the Abbey and it is welcoming and our room was very clean if a bit dated. Bath & shower worked well (loads of VERY hot water!) and the bed was comfy. Electrical points in odd spots, but probably practicalities dictated. Dinner was a restricted choice from the full menu but cooking and ingredients of real quality. Very good french onion soup: obviously home...

"Wet very poor - dirty carpet and broken door lock - which meant we could not leave any valuables in the room It was that bad we were booked in for 3 nights and we stayed only for 2 Breakfast was run by just one person - and was very greasy Drinks were expensive in the bar that’s probably why there was only 5 customers in the bar Oh and the room we had number 4 looked nothing like the pics in the website - the wardrobe was a metal frame with 3 coat hangers on it"
