DONT RISK BOOKING HERE!! Booked almost 6 months in advance and crossed the country only to arrive and be told they overbooked and absolutely refused to find a resolution or a refund. We were left stranded with no local availability anywhere on the busiest time of the year. No apology from the owner, no help finding another room, nothing. Rude, rude, rude! Completely unprofessional attitude. Choose anywhere else! UPDATE: This place blocks account for anyone offering an honest review. UNPROFESSIONAL

Only four out of five stars because I did not like that you couldn't open any of the windows. I do like a little breeze and get air flow. You could see The windows have been painted shut. We stayed in number five which was on the left side of the main building. Couldn't open the window in the bathroom either. The property grounds are beautiful! The main building is also very beautiful. It has a wonderful front area. Didn't get a chance to order breakfast which bummed me out too They only serve breakfast on the weekends which I didn't really read until after we checked in. So that's my fault. It is a beautiful place to stay. I definitely recommend. I would probably stay here again.

Couldn't have been more disappointed!
Very misleading that you will stay in the INN when you book a room. When we first drove in we were feeling sorry for the poor people that got the "storage unit" looking motel next to the INN and it turns out WE were the poor people stuck in them. You can't even get into the INN as there was nobody for check in when we arrived at 8pm. Took us forever to figure out where we were actually staying and then massive disappointment. It had 2 beds but the one had stained sheets so we decided to share a bed instead. I totally should have read the reviews first! My bad.

The property was really dirty. The lady that gave me our keys early was very nice said they were cleaning our room and as long as we came back after 3 it would be ready. We stopped by early hoping to get the check in done as we wanted to go down to Salem and wasn't sure when we'd get back. The hair in the bathroom was disgusting. I get that they alway dogs...and some on the floor would not have bugged me...the bathroom was covered in hair. The sink was beyond over looking it being nasty. The cups they left for you to drink out of had hair in them. They had plastic that looked like it was put back on...otherwise there was no plastic or the plastic was open. We killed to pretty good sized spiders and 3 other bugs that we were not sure what they were. It looked like someone cut themselves and bleed on the floor and the cleaning staff over looked it when "cleaning". And last but not least they did have an ice bucket...with hair in it...but no ice machine. I would not recommend nor will I be back to this establishment.

The motel rooms are so much better than advertised! We felt like we got so much more than we paid for, especially with the lovely balcony out back. Perfectly clean and modern (with cute retro touches in the bathroom).

Our stay was wonderful. The man at the front desk was incredibly pleasant and helpful. The property was pretty, the only negative I can think of was how treacherous getting out of the lot onto the main road is. Just minutes away from the coast and "downtown," it was all wonderful. Will be returning.

Its advertisements feature the handsome manor but most guests are lodged in a very basic strip of motel rooms, which minimalist are definitely overpriced. I suggest more forthright presentation of the actual facilities.

Sadly, our stay at the Castle Manor Inn was disappointing. We stayed in the "east wing" which turned out to be a concrete block motel to the east of the manor. If we would have realized we were not assigned to the main house, we would not have booked this room. The manor house appeared beautiful for the 3 minutes we saw the foyer on check in. The advertising is misleading and full disclosure needs to be addressed. It is likely you will be staying in a concrete block motel room, not the beautiful manor if you book this place.

We stayed in units 1and 2 in the west motor lodge. There were ALOT of acorns all over the parking lot, which could easily cause one to trip or slip. I was traveling with an 86-year-old woman who found it difficult to walk up to the door without slipping or tripping. That should be swept up regularly. My room (Unit 2) had rust in the sink and on the metal radiator panels in both the bathroom and bedroom. The light fixtures in the bathroom were not attached to the wall correctly. Seems water could easily get between the R light and the wall, since there’s a gap. There was no phone nor alarm clock in the rooms. My friend asked John at the front desk about this and he said “This is an inn not a hotel. Why don’t you buy a cellphone?” She does not wear a watch nor know how to use a cellphone. She would not consider getting a cellphone at her age. When she asked John “How will I know what time it is?” his response was “Maybe the lady traveling with you can tell you.” We both found John’s responses extremely rude and inconsiderate as he did not apologize nor speak in a friendly or joking manner. Please have a discussion with him on customer service and how to treat YOUR GUESTS because we certainly will never return. No phones in the room is a safety issue. Our units were overpriced for the quality - MAYBE worth $75 per night. Highly disappointed. Those units need attention and improvements. Please invest in phones and a $10 alarm clock from Walmart for all rooms.

Great updated room. Nice water view too. Our room was on lower level and unfortunately the quests in the upstairs room was very noisy. Woke us up at midnight and four in the morning stomping to the bathroom. The new bed was comfy and bathroom shower great. The buffet breakfast that we purchased on Sunday was really yummy!

The people here were extremely helpful. I put in my booking that I’d need a late check-in and was almost immediately messaged check-in instructions and got confirmation of my late check-in the day off. Our room was very clean and had a very pretty view from the balcony. Great 2 night stay!

Staff were very friendly and accommodating for a late arrival. Room was clean, cool and comfortable.

It has a lovely large patio overlooking a pond or marsh but that's only useful if the weather is good! And there are no chaises or other comfortable seating places outside. Inside there is no common room/lounge for guests to sit. In some paces coffee is available or even wine/snacks. The office is in the only likely place that I could see. there must be another place to put that office.
