This is a lovely property in the west end - quiet street large rooms - lots of old world charms with stain glass windows and dark leather couches- the place is filled with slow moving we’re rich folks on vacation many with all their well trained pure breed doggies. There’s really only one restaurant bar near by 1051 GWR - 5 minute walk - other than that you’re a 15 plus minute walk or a cab ride to other options. I would avoid the breakfast in the hotel - absurdly over priced - I made that mistake and paid 130 USD for my wife and I for 2 breakfasts -l pub is equally expensive. Room was nice bed comfortable and staff was mostly helpful but a bit too formal for my taste.

Unbeatable value, decadent and sumptuous
Stayed at Hotel for the fourth time and have never been disappointed. Love the spacious rooms massive, stylish bathrooms and general decor throughout. Lounges are oppulent and have gorgeous, sumptuous leather chairs and couches. Fantastic.

Not all that
The staff was helpful and friendly. The lobby is beautiful, and the hotel overall has a lot of character. However, it has seen better days. The hallways and room were very stuffy. Heaters were ancient and could barely keep up. The toilet wouldn't flush. Inconvenient outlet placement. When people walked outside the room, the furniture would shake, plus you can hear everything. I personally would not stay there again, but some people might want to experience it because it has local fame. Location was very convenient.

This was a lovely hotel but my room was a bit odd ... sort of in the basement and literally right down a short set of stairs from reception so you could hear a lot of chatter. While the bathroom in my room was beautiful and decadent, the decor was a bit outdated in the main room and it was painted a bizarre grape purple ... didn't seem to fit with the esthetic of this beautiful hotel. The room also desperately needed some more accessible outlets. There was none in the bathroom except for shavers so I had to dry my hair by the desk. Minor things, really ... a lovely hotel and lovely people, and I will stay here again but will ask for a different room.

Hotel du Vin is a charming old fashioned hotel located in the West End of Glasgow, close to the University of Glasgow and the Kelvingrove Museum. The room was big with tall ceiling and a modern bathroom. The bed very comfy. The breakfast was good but not fantastic. Overall a very good experience. I would stay at Hotel du Vin again John Connolly, Toronto

This hotel is fantastic. Beautiful classic interiors and an amazing bistro made this stay one to remember. The location in the West End was hard to beat and the staff were beyond helpful. I’d recommend getting a room with the daily breakfast!

Beautiful property. Some staff were very good. But could not get a dinner reservation even while we stayed there!! Food was good. I would say this is a 3.5 star hotel.

Beautiful, comfortable, and unique place to stay, away from the bustle of city centre and close by to the beautiful streets and shops in the west end. There aren’t a lot of quick dining options shorter than a 10-15 minute walk away, but it’s an easy and enjoyable walk to the best parts of town.

Spacious rooms with the best mattress.
Beautiful hotel, no elevator and no parking. You need to park on the street and pay, OR pay on the street across because that one is free. The BEST bed ever, I actually want to buy that mattress for my home. Spacious rooms. The location is not close to the historic places, but everything is walkable. I do recommend this hotel.

Brilliant hotel experience with service derived from another time. Nothing quite like it. Been here many times in the past but not for some time and just how I remembered it. Superb!

Lovely property and great staff, but few issues
It's a lovely property. Staff is very friendly. Shower had very good water pressure (not always the case in old properties!), although only rainshower head - normal showerhead is much better for a long-haired woman. Finally, the bed was very soft and bit wonky. Ok for one night but would prefer medium/firm mattress.
