"The room was clean and in good shape. The bathroom had been updated with no mold or issues but was small. The main floor was beautiful and had a lovely room off to the side with a gorgeous view of the bay. Great place to relax and enjoy a coffee. The dining room is very attractive and the breakfast buffet was good. The Eggs Benedict was great and the staff was very attentive. The building is historic so it does have issues. The outside leaves a little something to be desired. I did some research and understand it's under new ownership and they have plans to revamp everything. You can see some of the things that have been done but there's still lots more to do. Some of the buildings when you first enter the property are very run down. On the main building, window sills are crumbling and it needs painting. The tennis court is overgrown with weeds and hasn't been used in years. Dead shrubs need to be removed. There is a lookout point of the harbour across the street. The deck there should be tidied up and an extra chair added. It's a very expensive project and the staff seem to be trying to showcase what is good. Give them a chance. Note the building is not very handicap friendly."
"Great stay! Campground manager, Kelly, is fantastic. Made check in smooth and gave lots of recommendations for the area, and surrounding areas as well. We booked the cabin with full amenities and it had everything we needed. The BBQ was an added bonus. Campground was quiet when we were there and close to the community of Bear River which had coffee shops, gas station, art galleries and a small grocery store. Excellent choice if you’re looking for camping or a rustic cabin experience."
"We booked here because they said they have a pool on the booking website and they had a diner on site. The pool has been filled in. So we were bummed we couldn't use it. The diner is seasonal and wasn't open yet they said it doesn't open till June sometime. I wish we had know this we may have stayed somewhere else. But on the plus side the view was gorgeous and the rooms were clean. And the staff was friendly"
"Sid and Alex are excellent hosts. They were very welcoming, and put out a beautiful breakfast for me. Their home is lovely and I very much enjoyed my stay there."
"Gorgeous house in an optimum location in a quiet nice neighborhood with a view. A few blocks walk to most restaurants, pubs, sites and the shoreline. Jen is a lovely host. We'll be back."
