Really lovely. Location is a bit far from anywhere but the hotel itself is great, the room was super clean and really comfortable. Loved the balcony and all the storage space. The staff were amazing!
I really enjoyed staying here. The staff was great, my room was so quiet, clean and had the most amazing view. I slept really well every night and I loved relaxing at the pool area. The walk down to the river behind the resort is also enjoyable. The room and the facilities show their age a bit, but that did not bother me at all. There are 2 villages within walking distance from the resort.
Fantastisk pool, og meget meget rent.
Man vil gerne gå Barfods, og ligge på hynderne, som er flotte rene.
Internettet er knapt så godt, og morgenmaden er ikke buffet, men så man kan vælge én ret og én drik + frugt.
Most rooms had a musty smell and it was hard to find one that didn’t. Restaurant is ok but nothing to write home about. It’s extremely isolated so you’re a bit stuck if the on-site restaurant is not to your liking. Most difficult part was the noise of the on-site OSHO meditation retreat. Expect to be woken up some mornings around 6:00 or 6:30 am by loud tribal drumming and primal screams. Other mornings will be different forms of music and chanting but always something. If you’re a morning person, that’s great (maybe). I’m not and it was difficult, to say the least.
Staff were great, though, and the views were amazing. Most of the waterfalls in the area of Ubud are clustered around this place, including two of the best - Kanto Lampo and Tukad Cepung.
If the rooms were renovated to eliminate the mustiness and the OSHO retreat was moved out, I would recommend it as a remote getaway option.
overall, pretty good. not many options for non home stay hotels in the area and this is, for the price, is the best value. large grounds with 2 pools and a small but cool walking trail that goes down into the jungle. during covid restaurant was extremely limited (but good Nasi goreng and bali coffee); kububali and amertha only other “western” food options in the area and if u not on motorbike it’ll be hard to get there. rooms here are good size and have nice views. skeleton staff now but they are friendly and professional and keep the grounds looking good (if a bit slow at times). puri sarons have that classic old 70s style bali architecture and it still has a classy feel even if it’s a bit fading. some villas have private pools. good location for seeing water temples and waterfalls but it’s also pretty Secluded. overall recommended if you’ve seen most of bali and are looking for something less traveled.
