Great location close to a lovely beach. The hotel has a lot of character and the room was cozy. The on-site pub has good food too. I did find the mattress too hard and the a/c/heater, which turned on and off continually, noisy and hence disturbed one throughout the night.

My room overlooking the golf course was superb, with the charm of a vintage-style hotel, but with all of the modern amenities. The dining/drinking venues are delightful. And, of course, the whole property has that unique and wonderful historical ambiance and McMenamins whimsy! Great value too, with the off-season pricing at the end of November.

The facility is absolutely beautiful and located next to a golf course. Room was excellently decorated and the wood finishes made it quite attractive. Bar man was exceptional, helpful and friendly. Mcmenamins Gearhart Hotel was awesome. The hotel is unlike any we have stayed in. Each room is decorated in a quirky manner. The artwork throughout the hotel was very cool as well as the light fixtures. The owner has really taken pride in decorating each bedroom in a unique way. Everything about the hotel was 5 star. If you are in the area you should stay here, you will not be disappointed.

This place is a gem!! Loved the decor, the surroundings were so peaceful and the decorations and rooms are so eclectic and awesome. The bed was comfy and we slept so good.
