We had a very enjoyable two night stay. The beds were comfortable. The room was spacious and clean. Great full breakfast each morning with real coffee. There is a beautiful garden to sit and enjoy the flowers and sunshine. Thank you.

This property was spotlessly clean and the owner very friendly and helpful. The cooked breakfast wad delicious.

Fine for overnight stay

Craigielea was an excellent place for an overnight stay. Although the room & en suite were quite small, we slept well & had everything we needed. Our host helped with luggage & we had a good breakfast. Lovely cottage style garden at the front of the house.

The property was very clean, the room was excellent. The area felt very safe and I was not worried about my car outside even though I had to park around the back to to an event in town and police had stopped people from parking at the front

Sista trip to the borders

We stayed in Galashiels as we were attending the Melrose 7s. The B&B was close to the bus and train stations. It was close to the bars and restaurants. Would defo stay here again :)

Clean central and friendly

Excellent accommodation as described a wonderful host with a high level of cleanliness to the fore. Breakfast was to order and again excellent.

Very knowledgeable and pleasant host. The breakfast is very tasty and portions are generous. The location is accessible for seeing the city and connecting to the train and buses. I would recommend.

A great place for the area

Very helpful host. Good area to visit. Easy walk from the train station. In other respects typical for a Scottish B&B.

Great hotel, great people

Stayed here the night before St Cuthbert’s Way 100 Ultra. Room had everything and enough room for me to sort all my kit and get ready. Slept well, bed was great.

Comfy, quiet, good breakfast. Definately recommend

Room was spacious, clean and comfy and also quiet. It is located on the edge of the small town with decent pub choices and big supermarket nearby. A good place to stay to explore the Borders area. Morning breakfast was excellent (English Breakfast) and the host was very friendly. Definitely, recommend.

Staying at Craigielea is a must!!

Ann and Eric are absolute diamonds. The beds were so comfy, 2 really lovely plump pillows. Tea and coffee making facilities in the rooms with the added touch of choccy biscuits, there are tit bits all over the place, the guest room is really nice with mallow tea cakes for you to help yourself. Towels are provided along with shower gel and shampoo. I, unfortunately dislocated my knee, Ann arranged for Eric to take me to A&E which is going above and beyond in my eyes and I cannot thank them enough for this. Breakfast was delicious, gutted we missed the last mornings breakfast due to having to go to hospital. There is such a range of food for breakfast, cereals, full English, breakfast biscuits, fruit, yoghurts. There is also a facility to iron your clothes - nothing was too much trouble. Beautiful place.

One night in Gala

Stayed here for one night as at party in town, easy to find and central location for all the town has to offer. Room facilities good and breakfast excellent, would stay again.
