This is a great place with the option for public or private onsen. The one draw back for me is that it seems to be a typical location for tour groups.

My 2nd time using this hotel in a year. Excellent location. Have kitchen to fix our own meals and washer/dryer for our clothes. Will visit again for sure.

Hotel Associa Takayama Resort
Great views, convenient shuttle and not far from the centre by taxi if you miss the shuttle. Friendly staff. Old fashioned but clean and charming. Would recommend.
