"The beds were comfortable. The bathroom was clean enough. but the floor was dusty. I still don't get why Americans wear shoes in the room. There was also an already drunk water bottle in the fridge. The price was great for the room. We got a room in the courtyard, not the one near the ocean. The TV screen was big. The room in general was well equipped and maintained. The AC was new. The ice machine was in a walking distance."

"Our 2nd floor room was beachfront. The Nags Head Outlet was within walking distance as well as a huge "beach" store. The Sea Foam is an older historical motel that was recently sold. Yes, it is in need of repair and updating, however, it was clean, the beds were comfortable, and decent water pressure. It fit our needs. Word is that the new owners have big plans."

"The stairs and deck going over the sand dune are a mess. The handicap ramp has at least six inches of sand on the turns and the stairs down to the beach are almost totally covered with sand. The deck at the top has two orange cones because there is a hole in the deck. It is Memorial Day weekend and the start of summer so I would think out door maintenance would be much better than it was. Our deck definitely needed the railings and ceiling sanded and painted. "Our room had pretty textured walls and beautiful artwork. The furnishings were also high quality. Its a 3 minute walk to the beach, and within a few minutes drive of a mini-mart, ice cream place, and some restaurants. I couldn't figure out when checkout time was, but another guest told me 11am. Also the doors have # codes on them so you can check in without seeing anyone. But the insides of the doors don't have slide locks, so we were worried about someone being able to enter if they found out...

"Staff were friendly and very welcoming. We found a few maintenance things that they sprung into action to take care of. We were in a suite with a sitting room. The room was quaint and offered a wonderful outdoor porch. The only con to our stay is how uncomfortable the bed was. It was hard and spring filled which kept us tossing most the night with lack of comfort. We left before breakfast, so we aren’t sure how that was, but it smelled good! "First time at a B&B. Bill and Veda set the bar really high for other B&Bs we will visit. Cypress House was charming, clean and so welcoming. It was exactly what we were looking for when we planned this little vacation. Breakfast was great every day. Bill and Veda answered all our questions and request. They gave great recommendations on things to do and places to eat. We will definitely be visiting again!!"

"pet area needs to be lighted.It was totally dark except for 1 small solar light. Also the removal of pet waste was not upheld by many. Due to pet area being so dark, I had to report to the desk staff of a peeping tom. I also found that the cost of $10.95 per person for a buffet breakfast with powdered eggs and over cooked french toast was excessive."
