"The property is old and could stand an update. Painting, caulking, just some of the visual reminders that the property is not a 5-star hotel. It was adequate Everything appeared to be clean. The bed was very comfortable. But you basically get what you pay for in todays' economy. Probably would not go back. The complimentary breakfast was better than most."

"The character of the property was excellent although you park at the rear and enter from the rear so you don’t see the full glory of the plantation house. Lovely courtyard area. A traditionalBreakfast of fresh fruit eggs, biscuit and meat gravy. Vegetarian option just one biscuit one egg. Good quality hairdryer and iron there is also a fridge and microwave. "

"Pool- joke! Half full of green murky water and the grass is grown up all around. The rooms are not well maintained, dingy overall. No breakfast! The sign out front said Smart Stay Inn NOT anything Wyndham would put their name on. 10/10 would NOT recommend!"

"Decidedly average hotel booked by my Wife and I for the Lafayette Festival Louisianne. The best thing about the room was the shower due to its amazing water pressure. Otherwise, a few negatives to point out were: the fact that when the air conditioner kicked on it was very noisy, the fact that we could hear the flushing of toilets emanating from other rooms in the hotel, and the fact that our room situated on the 2nd floor facing the front of the hotel was not as sound proof as we would have liked. An example of the lack of sound proofing was the fact that we could hear some people outside our window talking late into the night (albeit the conversation was muffled). For the price of some $300/night"
