"Good hotel, very reasonably priced, close to the university of Manitoba and Superstore. To improve: blinds are definitely not blackout, which is challenging in spring when the sun is up early, and when your window faces the parking lot with extremely bright floodlights. Unfortunately it was raining two nights and there was a dripping sound outside the window that was so loud it sounded like someone was popping microwave popcorn in the next room. "My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at Stay549. It feels like home! Val was super nice and friendly when she checked us in. Everybody there was very helpful. When the coffee machine broke, they quickly replaced with a brand new one. Thank you…my husband and I need our coffee to start the day 😁 We will definitely come back when we are heading back West."

"We stayed with our two kids for a staycation weekend in the city. We were very pleasantly surprised by the Birchwood. It is well maintained, and the staff are very friendly. Free parking was nice. There are restaurants within walking distance. Close to Assiniboine Park. Comfy beds, spacious rooms, nice bathrooms, mini fridge, Keurig. But the best part was the pool area. There is a really fun indoor playground, ping pong table, foosball table, kiddy pool, regular pool, and hot tub. We had a blast...

Staff were very accommodating a polite. Pool area was fun, clean and has a nice splash pad area for small children to enjoy. Room was clean and spacious, bed was comfortable.
