"The room was lovely. We couldn't open 2 of the windows so it was an incredibly stuffy night. There was a fan provided but opening the windows would have been a better option. A small thing really."

"We stayed here for a wedding in Cuckfields and this hotel was in a very good location for this. The hotel itself is very nice, being a lovely old building. The room was a bit small for two people and the bathroom did feel a bit run down/shabby. Also - while I appreciate it was a bit of an unprecedented situation, we were there in one of the heatwaves this summer and really struggled with the heat. Given the age of the building, I would not expect AC, but the fans provided were tiny so...

"Convenient accommodation and parking to attend the opera at Glyndebourne. Room comfortable, but difficult to open the windows, and there appeared to be damp in the bathroom floor below the cistern. Good selection for the help-yourself buffet breakfast. Staff helpful and friendly. Parking easily accessible, but very crowded on arrival at 2pm on a Friday afternoon."

"Room was TINY. Smelt of toilets and woken by multiple church bells at 5 am. No staff at breakfast time. Cereal and toast. Wouldn’t stay here again. Not worth the money."

"Awful service from bar and restaurant staff. Place is in desperate need of refurbishment as walls are cracked, water stained and falling apart. Was told to take a seat for dinner in an empty dining room and so I sat for 15 minutes in the empty dining room for dinner and didn’t get served, so walked out. Ignored at the bar when checking in. Breakfast offering was good. Plenty of hot and cold choices."
