"This is a fabulous, modern hotel. The rooms are really big and well designed with amazing views. It is well located for the main expo centres (of which there are lots!), including the Canton Fair. If you feel adventurous, it is a short 4.5km walk along the Pearl River to the Canton Tower. A great way to walk off the fabulous Chinese food available everywhere. Conveniently located 250m from Xingangdong Metro Station - very easy to get from the airport by metro (make sure you buy the 3 day tourist ticket for RMB50)"

"Old property, not well maintained rooms; Needs a lot of renovation especially restroom. Smelly exhaust system when turns on, grouting stains all over, rusty pipes, stains all over the floor. It was cheap but convenient to food near GOGO- lots of food there and college kids makes a different atmosphere."

"This "hotel" is actually an unbranded room in a neglected apartment complex. Communication was poor; the host ignored specific questions and relied on repetitive form replies. Coordination required a 48-hour notice I missed, though I eventually confirmed the location via Didi. Check-in was inconvenient, requiring a long walk through a mall with luggage to reach the actual building. ​The Facility The building is poorly maintained with stained floors and trash-filled hallways. While the room was "clean enough" with a fresh bed and no odor, it suffered from dust, bathroom mildew, and exposed piping. Security is minimal with no door chain or "Do Not Disturb" signs. ​Amenities & Room Features ​Pros: AC was effective; no bugs; unit included a washer, TV (HDMI), and two sinks. ​Cons: No fridge, no safe, no breakfast provided. The couch was visibly soiled. Only 1/4 roll of toilet paper was supplied. The TV remote failed to power the unit, requiring manual operation. ​The Shower Extremely cramped and lacks shelving. The handle's placement makes it easy to accidentally trigger scalding water while turning around. ​Service & Infrastructure Privacy was disregarded when a cleaner entered and refused to leave despite being asked. The elevators are unreliable; during peak hours, I waited 15 minutes as cars bypassed my floor. I eventually descended 17 flights of stairs, which were dark, treacherous, and littered with cigarette butts. Fine if you get it for cheap. Slept well. Checkout easy."

"Paid a premium because of the Canton Fair. Room was a lot bigger than I thought. They may have given me an upgraded room. Check in was at one building and the room was a short walk to another tower. Room had full kitchen, patio with washing machine, bathroom with shower, large bed and sitting area with couch and coffee table. Bed was clean and comfortable. It is a Chinese apartment. So lots of people are give it character. Elevator was pretty busy with people but fast, so not a big deal. Room isn't clean like you would get in a high end hotel. But it was clean enough. Towels were a little bit old but seemed clean. Water was hot. Toilet worked fine. They provided water and toiletries. Breakfast was just a pastry and carton of milk delivered, but you are close to all the food you could want. Some really good restaurants nearby. Booked the room for the Canton fair. Subway is a short walk and then it is one station away to the fair entrance or 2 stations if you want to go to the other side. Costs about 2rmb each way. When you return to the the station near the hotel make sure you go to the correct exit I think number 4. If you take the wrong one it will put you across the street. Kitchen provided 2 cups for drinks and a large fridge but no utensils or plates. Ordered food delivery and it was delivered right to the room door. Very convenient. Would stay again. Didi dropped off and picked up right in front of the buildings. Easy checkout."
