I have no comment to be honest. The bed was very comfy, did sleep very well, the shower worked ok.
The room did have a smell. I had to buy air freshener. Many people who have stayed have complained about the dog smell in the hallway and I agree. Its a shame because it is in such a good location, close to the railway station, near to the town centre where they are fab places to eat.

Based on the property description, I was expecting something different. It is a room in an old house. The proprietor was kind, helpful, and accommodating. It was enough for one night and the price was right, but I likely wouldn't return. We had problems with the WC. The location was good, close to the train station and walkable distance to the seaside and city center. If you have an allergy to dogs, pass on this. Pets aren't allowed in the rooms, but the owners have dogs in the building. Also, luggage storage was a listed amenity, but they do not offer that service.
To say this place is 1 star would be too generous.Turned up to front door to be greeted by 2 guests comparing bites they got from their beds and be told leave your valuables in the car as it would be safer.Your and said air conditioning but what we got was 3 open windows.Mattress was disgusting as was bathroom.
This accommodation should not be advertised on booking sites. It reeks of dog urine bottom to top, is in a bad state of repair and dirty throughout. Lost money rather than stay. False description on booking sites. Worrying area and filthy streets.
Absolutely disgusting hotel, the place and carpets smelt of sewage. The lady told us that we had bed bugs and she would get in trouble if she told us anything. Upon hearing this we immediately wanted to leave but it was so late we was not able to find accomodation and was forced to stay the night. Never again

Chandos Guesthouse
This is a bargain priced Guesthouse that is close to the railway and to town. It’s a little threadbare but is excellent value for money. The manager, Richard, is very helpful & knowledgeable. I’ll be staying there next time I’m in Folkestone.
First of all, this is not a premier hotel, it's a terraced house, it looks very run down from the outside and there's no parking at the property, unable to give you a review of the interior of the property or the staff, due to the place being closed, there was a note on the front door advising it was closed for health and safety. There was no communication from the so called hotel to advise they were closed, after travelling for 5 hrs we then had to find alternative accommodation ourselves. Would've given minus 1m rating if I could. Absolutely disappointed is an understatement.

Hotel unpleasantos.
Do not send any person to this hotel. There are no words to come near the discusting state of this building. The hallway stunk of sweat an inmate secretly told of bed bugs. We tried to book elsewhere but everywhere needed advance booking. When we reluctantly returned in the evening we discovered our back pack was missing. Police were called but before they arrived the landlord took us to a room and said look under the bed… there was the back pack! make of this story as you will. It is all true!
The casing of an electrical plug by the bed was hanging off. Sadly I took no pictures
We booked the room at Late Evening and when we go for Check-in nobody answer on the phone or at the door for reception So we have to live in the middle of the night to look for another hotel
This property is definitely past it’s prime, the pictures posted in the listing must be from better times. While the owner was friendly the animal smell in the entry hall was very unpleasant. The room was crammed but clean, one of the beds had dog hairs on it. Overall not what we expected to find looking at the listing, but it worked for one night.
2nd time I have stayed here, the 1st time, it was great, a nice fresh B&B, however this time, it was a very rundown B&B, very grubby and tired throughout. One thing that worked well was the fire alarm which went off at 23:59, but there was no direction from anyone on-site and people just went back to bed.
There was still rubbish in the bin in the room. The cups had not been cleaned, there was tea in the bottom of the cup. The fridge had stuff left in. The room smelt and I wasn’t sure whether the bedding had been changed. There was no parking and the place was nothing like the web site.
Was nit like the pictures online, very dated brown patches on the pillows, very uncomfortable bed. No on-site parking only on the road do not park there before 6 u will gets. Ticket
