"The room was clean and warm, the bed was comfortable. The location was excellent...quiet and beautiful ....Windermere has everything from supermarkets to craft and walking gear shops, pubs to a variety of restaurants. We parked the car in front of The Hideaway, it was just a few minutes walk into the town, and we could also easily drive out to other locations. "My sister and I spent just a couple of nights here and truly fell in love with the house and staff. Every interaction was easy and kind, the house was incredibly well kept, and the grounds were gorgeous. It's located a bit out of the way which is perfect for minimizing crowds and noise! Our room was perfectly sized and the bed/bedding comfortable. All in all, a 10/10. Highly recommend to anyone in any stage of life."

"I booked this hotel as a romantic getaway for my partners birthday we stayed in a superior room with a sea view and it was exactly that, absolutely beautiful views the room was small but cosy the bed was more than big enough, and the staff were lovely and nothing was too much hassle. The place itself is beautiful and reasonably priced breakfast was included and we were asked then night before roughly what time we would like it. "This was our 3rd stay at St John's Lodge and yet again it did not disappoint. Great location, great room (which was upgraded when we arrived, a welcome surprise), great breakfast and amazing service from the Hosts Rich & Ada. Having free access to the Local health club and spa is another fantastic bonus, popping in after a hike to utilise the jacuzzi is great! We couldn't ask for more from St John's Lodge, Rich and Ada are excellent hosts and couldn't do more for us. We hope to return again...
