"Room was immaculate . £15 per night to park car at property I found this a bit pricey but parked there anyway . If you want an early check in it’s £25 which once again is very pricey but you can park up and leave your stuff if you don’t want to pay this . If anything the bathroom is on the small side. Bed was very comfy . Would use again"

"The staff were extraordinarily friendly and helpful. The Pies were great. Breakfast was super. The Guinness was cold and perfectly drawn. The room was comfy. The shower was hot and stayed hot. Altogether a 5 star 2 overnights experience!"

"Easy walking distance from central York. Lovely clean room, with everything you would expect. Easy check-in arrangements despite not being continually staffed. Tea tray replenished, bins emptied and bed tidied while I was out for the day. Well priced. Would definitely book again."

The room was quite hot, even on a cool day, and were it not for the ability to open the window and use a fan (already in the room) it would have been very comfortable. "We had such a lovely stay at this wonderful B&B. Comfy bed and the room was well equipped with tea and coffee, biscuits, water etc. We had no trouble parking. Breakfast was first class. "

"Very nice staff, very clean room, nice clean bathroom nice shower over the bath plenty of hot water good water pressure, 2 small bottles of shampoo and body wash and a small bar of soap towels provided. Nice room with desk and chairs the bed was comfortable. Not enough power points to charge your phone/laptop/watch no USB points especially difficult if two people have items to charge at the same time maybe bring an extension lead/plug. Car parking is charged and expensive especially if staying...

"We received a warm welcome when we checked in. Our room was spotless and had quality bed/bedding etc. Also had a spacious, well appointed bathroom. We had an excellent night's sleep. We enjoyed dinner and breakfast here. All the food was first class and everyone who served us was very pleasant and helpful. Would definitely recommend this hotel."
