"After the hustle and bustle of the city, Chapel of Barras was just what the Dr. ordered. I’m traveling for pleasure, but also to finish a book I’ve been putting off, and this was a perfect stop. It was peaceful, quiet, perfect for my early morning yoga—followed by a delightful and filling homemade breakfast—a couple hours walking, then plenty of uninterrupted time to put pen to paper. Michelle and David were especially lovely: 10/10 would recommen. "

"What a great host Angela was. We felt welcomed from the time we arrived. Our room was very clean and everything that was promised. The cliff trail was stunning and most needed after a long drive. The only issue I had was a lack of hot water when I showered. However, after breakfast it was fine."

"We stayed 2 nights and paid £114 per night for bed and breakfast in a Heritage room called Irvine. The soundproofing in the room was shocking with a loud humming noise coming from behind our bed and the noise of doors slamming and guests talking. When I reported this to receptionist she acknowledged that the humming noise was from the room next door’s plumbing. I was not offered a different room. We were visited by both a spider and cockroach in the bathroom. I would therefore strongly recommend...

"Room was very clean and comfortable. Never heard any noise from the bar downstairs. Breakfast was cooked to order so fresh and hot. All staff very friendly nothing was a problem for them. Bar patrons were friendly and welcoming"
