"The room was clean, good size with everything you need. Dog friendly rooms. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Restaurant was excellent with good food, reasonably priced so we had breakfast, lunch and an evening meal there. Very popular but still really quiet at night. Definitely stay again. Being really picky, there was some superficial updates needed. The TV was basic and small. No plug sockets by the bed. Personally I did not like having my towels folded up and placed back in the bathroom....

"I have to say I waa really surprised at how nice this place was. The only issue for me (being a bigger bloke) was i couldn't fit in the shower as it only has a s.mall opening but I was able to get around ."

"Charming pub with rooms in the courtyard. Each one had parking outside. Very spacious room with comfortable bed, smart tv and tea & coffee making facilities. Good size en suite with great shower. Towels provided along with a hairdryer, iron and ironing board. Breakfast was made to order along with continental options. Staff friendly and attentive. Would highly recommend and would definitely stay again. "

"Check in was no frills. We arrived half an hour before check in and was offered a room but for an extra fee. I accidentally booked the room for one person so had to pay an extra £12 for breakfast which was fair enough but on check out an additional £10 for the extra person which I thought was unfair."

There was basically no staff on hand and the ones that were there were overworked and not available for the most part. "Looks great from the outside but tired in the inside. My room was quirky which was fine but the furniture and the bathroom in particular was very dated and could have done with some tlc. The food was ok - bar snacks - but seemed to be very random opening and closing times in the evening. Stunning grounds and location which partly made up for the underwhelming interior."

"This is a great value for money budget hotel and was ideal for a one night stopover. The room is small, but has enough room to hang a few clothes, place a small bag and has a small desk and chair to work from. It was modern and clean with a comfy bed and TV.
