This is a nice historic building. Great for photos and the lobby was like a museum.

Great location and staff was very friendly/helpful but the hotel itself is very outdated.
Our room’s air conditioner did not work. The engineering staff was great but it was unfortunately a weekend. They gave us another bed upstairs and we were able to sleep there and keep our stuff down in the other room. Staff was great from front desk to engineer. They’re doing the best they can with the condition of the hotel. Owners just need to do desperately needed upgrades to the hotel.
Large front porch. If you get a 1st floor room the shutter windows don’t keep out the light. Annoying. Plus—room was near the in/out door. You hear everyone exit…especially in the AM. I booked through a 3rd party at a discount. I think they give their downscale rooms to such. For an allegedly 1st class place I thought, too, that it was a little bit chincy to require a dang ticket for a cup of coffee. It was nice—but for those issues.
Loved that the hotel is on campus and across the street from my daughter's sorority house. Also love the ambiance. The inside is dotted with history in photos from long ago. The porch I loved! Our room was first floor and we only had to walk a few steps to sit on the porch. Nice views from there. Everything was blooming and I enjoyed the fragrance of the flowers too. Parking was on site and plenty.
Our stay at the Carnall Hall was wonderful. Love the Ella restaurant and bar. The room was on the 3rd floor and had a funky design for historical building and lighting was not there. AC unit was right above our bed, not a good idea. Bedding was great! The convenience of the hotel being on the University of Arkansas campus was nice and close to my daughter Apt.
