Picturesque historical pub in centre of friendly village. Lovely staff in busy lively pub. Super dog friendly. Lovely orchard type garden to exercise dog. Top of Cotswolds with plenty of places to visit nearby. Would definitely stay again.

Wonderful experience

Our recent stay at The Fleece far surpassed any hopes or expectations we had. It is a wonderful place , steeped in history , character and atmosphere . The staff were excellent, particularly Simone , Sarah, Nigel and the waitressing staff. The food was superb . We absolutely loved being there and didn’t want to leave ! Thank you everyone at The Fleece .

It was interesting. An old, listed building full of character. Bedroom was fine, stairs not for the faint hearted or someone who wasn't sure footed !

Very poor

The caravan was extremely small with nowhere to sit except a very small wooden encasement close to the floor. There was really just room for the bed (which to be fair was comfortable and clean). A small shelf near the kettle was not level so a drink slipped and soaked our shoes, thankfully it was not hot and we were in bed at the time. The outside shower/sink/toilet was in very poor condition. The shower was almost cold, had very little water flow and the fixture was weak so it fell out of the bracket easily. The outside decking to the shower was extremely slippy (we both slipped on this) and the steps down from the caravan were dangerous in our view. There were quite loud animal noises close by for almost all of the time during our stay, so that, plus heavy rain, prevented a good night’s sleep. I would strongly advise against staying here. The other reviews and photos are not representative of how poor this is in our opinion.

Just a perfect stay, the caravan is lovely and the surrounding are beautiful. We enjoyed the evening at the pub and it was so gooood! We will be back!

The Fleece is a wonderful Olde Worlde Pub, with great meals, open fires and great ale, definitely worth a visit

Charming historical building. Lots of options for sitting outside with heating. The food was very good. I loved the dining rooms with original fireplaces; very romantic as each dining room only has 4 or 5 tables so everyone is close to them. The inn has only one room, which is small but comfortable. There is a quaint gypsy caravan site for 'glamping.' This inn is a hub for locals and tourists alike making it very busy. Manager, Nigel, is a wonderful host.

Enjoyed the experience

Although when I booked I was apprehensive of glancing as it was a business trip but it took me back to my childhood the place is nice and the caravan was a success the pub good evening meal not great but nice breakfast

Authentic Old

If you like old unspoilt pubs the Fleece Inn is well worth a visit. The one double bedroom in the pub is small but this is compensated for by the convenience of not having to drive after enjoying a range of beers and good pub grub in this wonderful old building. Best I think if you choose winter with fires alight, but not to be missed at any time of year. Have stayed twice now and hope to revisit in the future.

Fun accommodation

Nice different experience. Outside shower and toilet bit challenging in the early morning!
