"Great parking,fast check-in with very friendly, helpful knowledgeable staff. The breakfast menu is superb with fast efficient service. The rooms are clean, and the bed is super comfy and serviced daily and has tea/ coffee making facilities and biscuits. The bathroom has a large shower with soap and shower gel supplied. We look forward to our next visit."

"We received a warm welcome when we checked in. Our room was spotless and had quality bed/bedding etc. Also had a spacious, well appointed bathroom. We had an excellent night's sleep. We enjoyed dinner and breakfast here. All the food was first class and everyone who served us was very pleasant and helpful. Would definitely recommend this hotel."

"The room was comfortable and clean, great blackout curtains and comfortable bed and pillows. Good selection of teas and coffee in the room and iron and hair dryer. Only snag was the windows are old and banged a little in the wind, and also let noise in from the pubs next to train station- but it’s typical for old buildings. It didn’t disturb us in the morning. I would say if you need to use the lift, there is one lift at the moment and it’s used by staff and guests which is inconvenient....

"I stayed for 4 nights at the Holiday Inn in York. I was warmly greeted by the receptionist and was checked in quickly. As I don't use lifts, the receptionist arranged for my suitcase to be taken up to my room. My room, on the 2nd floor, was big and looked very clean. There was a double bed, 2 seater sofa, TV, plenty of hanging space but only 5 hangers, and tea/coffee making facilities. "Thoroughly enjoyed my stay of just over 2 weeks. All the staff were so kind and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Had a lovely top floor single room an nice skylight window. The Continental breakfast was good with plenty of choice. The Grab and Go breakfast was a good option too. The Italian Restaurant was great and open for lunch and dinner. Food and Service was excellent. The Cornhill is perfectly located with plenty of shops and places to snack or take away. Plenty a local...
