Eternal Flame Falls

Short hike.. august 2016 during the drought.. still a beauty tho!

This waterfall has a natural gas leak that can be lit and hold a flame. When I went the falls was at a trickle because of no rain, this made the hike easy as you often need to cross the riverbed to stay on a trail. A stronger fall would have made for a cool long exposure but I'm happy for dry feet! It's not a long hike but uphill on the way back. This park is well cared for and I enjoyed the silence compared to the other parks we visited. #TakeAHike #NewYorkState
