It was perfect! The riad was in a perfect location, it was in the centre of the medina with everything so close by. The room was clean and had all the amenities needed. The breakfast was great and the staff were responsive - Rita was brill! The riad itself was gorgeous, with a lovely rooftop and a great lounge area. We got some great restaurant recommendations from staff too. I definitely will be coming back to this beautiful riad and Essaouira ❤️

A very nice, clean and quiet little place in the middle of the busy Medina. You can heard the seagulls and see the sky from your bed. Tasteful decoration in the rooms. Kind staff. Excellent breakfast.

My family and I recently stayed at Riad Sidi Magdoul for a week in the “superior apartment”. On the positive side, the apartment itself was stunningly decorated, showcasing beautiful interior design (typical Moroccan) that made it visually appealing. It was also much bigger than what had been advertised (I would guess appr 80 square meter). The reception area also looked very nice and welcoming, and the location of the hotel was convenient. We only had breakfast once at the riad but thought it was ok and decent priced. However, there were unfortunately several significant issues that overshadowed these positives. Firstly, cleanliness was a concern. The apartment was unusually dirty, even by Moroccan standards, as we have visited Morocco and Essaouira five times before and have never encountered such standard in a riad or apartment (we have a relative living in Essaouira and have also been staying in her apartment). During our stay, we for example encountered at least 10 cockroaches, which was absolutely unacceptable. Moreover, the service was extremely poor. It felt like our apartment wasn’t truly part of the hotel; we weren’t offered any housekeeping whatsoever, although other guests in the hotel received daily service. This was not something that we had been informed of and therefore took us by surprise. To make matters worse, we were charged appr. 10% more for the room than what was agreed with hotels, and the hotel only accepted cash payments. While this is not uncomm

Lovely riad accommodation in a passageway just off one of the main streets in the medina at Essaouira. Breakfast in the central atrium was a lovely way to start the day. A relaxing place to stay away from the hustle and bustle of the medina. Room was compact with two single beds but was an authentic road experience.

Excellent location, clean, friendly staff, nice rooms. Breakfast is included. We got it for an extremely low price, which made it a superbe deal. Located directly in a small alley off one of the main streets in the Medina. The alley looked dark but don’t get fooled, the Riad is lovely. There is a roof terras with good to catch some sun. No view though. Within the Medina you go by door and there are steep stairs so not great if you travel with a bulky suitcase. Better with a backpack only. Only the shower was not warm consistently in our room on second floor. Otherwise highly recommend for the prize.

First of all, we were supposed to stay at the Riad , once we got there, we were told that the room we reserved they are doing construction on it , we were given an apartment outside of the Riad in a scary neighborhood, the apartment sheets , blankets and pillows so stinky! When we ask the lady that we don’t want to stay here , she simply responds with you can cancel if you want, on the top of that , they asked us to pay fee that it’s called a property taxes cash , which it’s already paid in the beginning that I have it in the confirmation invoice! They are scammers, not honest, they zero customer service ( not recommended at all )

Good location

We arrived early so our room wasn't ready. We did check in a drop the bags. When we went to collect the bags there was a whole family at the reception ( the owners i guess) and the french man wouldn't even get up from the couch the get the bags as he was lying down watching tv. After making some gestures he did. We were never informed about breakfast so we paid for breakfast outside the premises ( my bad for not checking my booking but I would have expected to be informed about at the check in). We were on the first floor and at night it got so loud as people was chatting in the reception until about 11 and some others coming and going. The lack of a water fountain makes the riad quite noisy. But overall is a good place to stay, clean and cute room and very well located.

Sehr nette Gastgeberin und das gesamte Personal. Riad- Inhaber kümmern sich selbst um die Gäste und sind sehr aufmerksam. Merken sich wie man den Kaffee oder welche Teesorte man bevorzugt. Ich bin erkältet angereist und würde sehr gut mit Tees versorgt oder heissen Wasser für die Medizin. Ein schöneres Zimmer würde frei und ich dürfte einziehen. Das Haus ist modern und puristisch eingerichtet. Mann kann eigene Wäsche waschen für einen kleinen Beitrag und am Dach Sonnenbaden.Das Riad ist an bester Lage.
