"Everything was exceptional. The staff was incredibly helpful. The rooms were gorgeous. The food was great. But I cannot say anything better about that staff. They were absolutely lovely."

"When we arrived we were not even sure if it was the right place- just looked an out the back pub, which is what it turned out to be. We paid and were shown to our room (16). Very compact, there was mould on the bathroom ceiling and a very frosted window. No wardrobe and very little storage space. The TV didn't work while we were there. A knock at the door, out card hasn't been accepted, yet I had a receipt. On checking, it has been accepted! To get to the room, there is a narrow corridor."

"Beeping smoke alarm which we had to sort out ourselves, kitchen door off hinges, toilet seat not fixed properly , bathroom door handle missing I do not expect to have to go searching for the electrical fuse box to turn the smoke alarms on. Location was great for our family party in Digbeth, shower was brilliant, place was clean and was quite decent apart from the issues listed above "

"The hotel is well placed in the centre of Birmingham and close to "Grand Central", my room was comfortable and more than adequate for my needs. However one of the lifts was out of action for the whole of my stay, the other lift was slow, small and not up to standard. I managed to walk up and down to my room on the 8th floor a few times but the taking 20 minutes from pressing the call button to reaching the ground floor for my departure (with bags) was poor."

"First of all this is not a luxury apartment. The walls were dirty. Needs a repaint in the bathroom. Bed uncomfy and pillows flat. There is also a deposit required which is unnecessary given the state of the apartment. After we left, the host messaged to say we wouldn’t get the full refund back as the door was unlocked, despite the fact you require a fob to enter the building. They also then suggested items were missing from the apartment such as a chopping board and remote. I told them we had...

"This must be the most disgusting place I ever stayed in. It's really hard to even describe... everything is old and ugly, it really is in a bad state. The host welcomed us with air freshner but it still stunk. The host had the nerve to charge us £10 for late check-in. The bed made me want to go home really desperately. My room was number 11. Oh, and the horrible bath is shared amongst at least 8 rooms."
