"The house is in a beautiful location and we were greeted by Alfie. We were made welcome from the very beginning and looked after well. Our twin room was perfect with amazing views. We were recommended a walk to the lake and took a picnic, beautiful scenery and incredibly relaxing. A must do! We were provided with a delicious cooked breakfast and fresh bread. We will absolutely be visiting again and we wished we’d stayed longer than 1 night. "
"Could not imagine a more wonderful stay. Hiking Hadrian’s wall and the Sally was a most wonderful stay. The food was incredible with great vegetarian and gluten free options. The rooms were large and comfortable with very comfortable beds, great water pressure, and all spotlessly clean. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful, all in a lovely little parish. I highly recommend staying at the Sally. "

Penrith is a beautiful picture postcard town and very handy base for traveling to the Lake District
