"This was our first visit to the hotel. From the moment we checked in, we found the staff extremely helpful, nothing was too much trouble. The hotel its self, is extremely clean, beautiful clean spacious room, very comfortable bed,and the food excellent. We will certainly be returning in the near future. The staff treated every guest, as if they were the only guests. A truly pleasurable stay. Thank you. "

"What a gem of a place! Beautiful original pub building. Bedroom was spacious and clean. We had a room with a double and a single bed. The double was a bit too hard for us, but the room has everything you need, so can't complain. Breakfast was really impressive and everything was cooked to perfection. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We feel like we've found a gem and will definitely use again when we've got a gig in Manchester."

"Stayed for the weekend for the Manchester marathon, the hotel was fine for what we needed it for but felt the room could have been cleaner. The staff were lovely though, didn’t try the restaurant or spa facilities. Would more so say it’s a 3 star."

"we wanted somewhere for an overnight stay after flying back from Greece to Manchester before driving back to the north east. I'll start with the pros. beds were clean and very comfy. tea/facilities in the room were welcome. staff lovely. good and safe parking. very quiet hotel. breakfast was delicious and just what we needed before a 2 hour plus journey. 5 minutes walk to wetherspoons where we went for tea and couple of drinks. cons. yes it was a little dirty in places ie main passageways...

"Great that there was free parking, staff were probably the friendliest I’ve ever seen. Rooms over the bar a bit noisy with music, doors banging ect but it does close at 12 so had a good nights sleep. Disappointed breakfast wasn’t provided but there was tea/coffee/ biscuits in the room."

"A gem of a BnB. From the warm friendly and welcoming greeting on arrival, through to the wonderful tasty breakfast in the morning. We only stayed one night, but were made to feel so at home. The rooms and amenities were lovely and clean, with well considered playful decor. The bed was also really comfortable. The full breakfast was a beast a bit much for us but you could pick what you wanted so we went with just bacon, sausage and eggs with toast. It was cooked perfectly and the ingredients...

"Good place to stay very quiet while we were there. Staff very friendly and helpful, reasonable bar prices. Possibly a little difficult to find after dark if travelling on foot from the tram stop. Would definitely stay again."

"This place is fine, but not great. Whilst it has lots of character, the weak and unpredictable shower was a definite detractor for me, and the bed was oddly short so me feet were off the end. Rooms were well appointed, but a few dubious carpet stains made sure you knew they'd been occupied before."

"Clean room liked the idea of two duvets on the bed, all the staff we came in contact with were extremely polite. Good breakfast plenty of choices, I requested veggie/vegan sausage and it was we're freshly cooked for me. Unlimited teas and coffee available during the stay. Would definitely stay again. "

"Absolutely charming! The owner and staff outdid themselves with welcoming us later in the evening and making sure to seat us in the quite lovely dining room for a hot meal before retiring to our spacious guest room upstairs. The room was today and had lots of thoughtful amenities: tea, coffee, a variety of snacks, lots of toiletries. Breakfast was very good and served with warmth and hospitality. Definitely a wonderful place to stay. "

"We didnt see any shops, my only reason for one low score, is that we were in room 7 on Friday 20th March. When we went to the room the smell of Fresh paint was very strong. The young lady on reception moved us to another room. Which was perfect. "
