"Hotel Cerro Lodge Oh dear…I had a whole ecosystem in my room, and not in a good way. Constantly had medium-large ants coming into my room from the bathroom. Look - I know it’s Costa Rica, and I can handle some ants, but we’re talking about having to step on 30+ ants over the course of two days. The whole room felt like zero money has been put into it to maintain / upkeep the property. Wifi in the room was extremely slow (I ended up just using cellular data instead). "The hotel is really quiet and clean. The breakfast is delicious. The beds are super comfortable. It's a very convenient location between San Jose and places like Jaco. "

"This is our third time at the property. The view is unbeatable. Howler monkeys come by close. Comfortable apartments. Friendly staff. The only reason for 4 starts vs 5 is that the apartments are a bit tired and outdated. "

"This is a very strange property. There are a lot of hotels, private condominiums sharing the same facilities but having separate gated access. The common grounds, however, aren’t being looked after so well. The Selvamar section we stayed in was okay, but a bit tired now. Room was much smaller than anywhere else we stayed in Costa Rica, but it was comfortable. "Trop cher pour ce que c’est. La chambre était grande et propre mais dépourvu de décorations, serviettes seulement 2 pour la douche, pas de tapis de bain, pas de serviette à main, pas de bte de crème ou bonnet de bain ou autre qui est pratique. Pas de couverture ou oreiller d’extra, pas de safe, pas de cafetière ni de verres pour boire. Nada! Le staff est gentil, le wifi fonctionne bien et le parking est sécuritaire. La piscine est bien et propre "

"What an absolute gem of a place. I didn't want to leave! After a 2 week road trip, we wanted somewhere an 'easy' drive of SJO airport before our longhaul flight, and this place was perfect. We felt it extended our holiday because we instantly totally relaxed. The rooms had lovely comfortable beds and stunning views.
