"The hotel is a rather older hotel, though the location is perfect, just a few blocks from the main Jackson old town strip. There was a lady at the breakfast room with the tip jar when you walk in the breakfast room, you feel pressured not tipping. The swimming pool was open but the water was very cold though my daughter got to swim a bit (she was the only one at the pool)."

"The lady at the check in gave me a key that was not working and the room had a do not disturb sign hanging. She did not apologize for that mistake and just said ok I will assign another room for you. Did not acknowledge her mistake and I had to go back and forth and line up again because of that mistake. It was unpleasant. I was tired and hoping to already enter my room."

"The room was clean, but my stay was not the best. The person staying across the hall allowed her child to run laps up and down the hallway, screaming and banging on doors. The mother was shouting down the hall and threatening her daughter that she would lock her out of the room and slamming the door, saying that she’s going to let someone murder her if she didn’t get in the room. All of this was at 6am. I figured I would get up because sleep was impossible and went down to get breakfast around...

"This is a 170 year old hotel with an elevator from the 1920's and it does show its age but it's conveniently located right on the main street going through the tourist destination of Placerville. Acceptable cleanliness and staff was very friendly and helpful. The decor and carpeting and fixtures showed a significant amount of wear. If you're looking for the fun and the ambiance of the town it's good - if you're looking for a hotel comparable to Marriott or Hyatt it's not in that category."

"Cleanliness: room was not cleaned. New towels were put up and that was it. There was a ton of hair and dirt in the bathtub and bathroom sink. After only walking in the room for 5 minutes, the bottom of my socks were black, the toilet wasn’t cleaned, there was blood on the wall in the bathroom, there was hair and dirt in the bed suggesting that new clean sheets were not put on and the bed was just remade after the last guests used it. "Prompt service upon arrival, with excellent comp gifts on check in that made the stay even better. Conveniently located with a very short walk to food and entertainment. Old Town Pizza is right around the corner and you are missing out if you don’t get some. Parking lot is nice and the rooms are modernized. Can’t beat for the price and convenience."

"Parking was great - right outside our room. The check-in process was quick and easy and friendly. The decor in the room is a little tired, there was no ice in the ice machine and we couldn’t get any water from the bathroom taps but the bed was comfortable and we had a good nights sleep."
