"Our fist visit to Montrose. Lovely hotel which met all our needs in terms of friendliness, cleanliness, amenities and location.
We had a very plentiful, tasty breakfast.
Great atmosphere in the evening when there was a live band and a busy function suite.
Have already recommended this hotel and this town to friends."

"The staff were exceptional!! The food was exceptionally good, with a mix including Indian as well as UK, but all - dinner and breakfast was excellent. The room was comfortable and clean.
The hotel is in the centre of the city of Brechin, quite close to the cathedral - well worth visit! Th oldest part dates from around 1000AD"

"The Superior Suite was gorgeous, beautifully decorated, so new, fresh and squeaky clean. Keycode access to main door and rooms. Ample car parking available. Check in online. Super comfy beds, plenty of sockets, charging points too. A seated dressing table and plenty of wardrobe and drawer space. The kitchen area was ideal, just perfect for having a hot drink and use of microwave, great that there is cutlery and crockery available. Shower room, again really nice. Such a well thought out suite,...

Brechin Cathedral is just one of the places to see in Brechin, so why not enjoy the other things to explore during your travels? You can enjoy the bars while in the area.
After visiting Craigo Community Hall, make a plan to see the other sights and activities in Montrose. Make time to visit the cathedral and monuments while you're in the area.

We had a lovely time at the Glen Clova hotel, it's set in beautiful scenery and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The food was very tasty and our room was very quiet. Only thing I would ask for is mineral water in the room because both taps in the bathroom were running warm water so we couldn't pour a glass from there.

A gorgeous manor house-style hotel with so much charm! The staff were really helpful and welcoming, the bar was cosy and the continental breakfast was lovely. There are beautiful walks nearby, and the town is only a 10-minute drive away. Would happily recommend!

Lovely room. We had an evening meal in the bar and the food was excellent. Breakfast was included and there was an excellent selection of cold buffet and cooked options. Again, lovely and very friendly attentive staff. If you want a tranquil location then do go and you won’t be disappointed.

The house is situated on a hill overlooking Carnoustie.
It is very nicely decorated and well maintained. We had a twin room on the top floor. It was well laid out. The beds were very comfortable. The ensuite had a larger shower cubicle than average.
Breakfast was very nice, with good quality ingredients.
Lisa was a very good host, welcoming and full of useful information

We had a brilliant stay at Tor Na Coille Hotel in Banchory and would happily return. The standout feature was definitely the team there, every member of the team was incredibly warm, welcoming, helpful, and genuinely made us feel looked after from the moment we arrived. Their friendliness and professionalism really made the whole experience special.

Great location, beautiful artwork, facilities of a 5 star hotel in a homely guest house. Local produce at breakfast and a well stocked honesty bar. Hosts are attentive and lots of information for travellers. Can’t wait to return.
