Great spot right in the centre of old town. Buses and trains super close by which is convenient. Rooms are reasonably clean, but the chill zone needs a bit of TLC as it has an interesting smell. Shared showers are really clean for what I expected, a little small but for a hostel it's expected. Would stay here again

2nd time I've stayed here, perfect location for access to the city and station. The staff are all beyond lovely and happy to help! I would suggest booking double bunks rather than triple if you want a bit more room to sit on your bed etc! Great place very affordable, friendly, clean and comfy!

In our first stay in Edinburgh in a hostel, we found the experience at St. Christopher's Inn very enjoyable!! The views outside our room were incredible and appreciated the walkability and safety we felt throughout our stay. The staff was very helpful and friendly.

Very friendly staff! However, overall felt on-edge the whole time. Mixed dorm had very cramped bathroom, and the only other toilet facility on my floor was also mixed, which I wasn’t too keen on as a solo female traveler. It meant there wasn’t any space I could go to be away from men if I needed or wanted to. Lobby was inviting but “chill out room” has a strange setup and wasn’t all that conducive to “hanging out”. At least it had a kettle and microwave! Overall, if you are a solo female traveler and you are spending your hard-earned money to explore beautiful Edinburgh, save a bit more for a better hostel.
