It's conveniently located near the tram station, aTesco express and a cash point. The flat has a lot of unrealised potential. The floor boards creak, the bath needs attention, the TV is 17" with a cash converters sticker still attached. The external complex door doesn't lock and other tenants let it slam early in the morning and late at night. The windows need black out curtains, the blinds don't block the morning sun. There is a good selection of books to read. A list of information explaining the boiler, WiFi would have been useful.
The flat is in a quiet area with easy access on the bus to the main part of Edinburgh. We had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The main entry of the building is stark and a little dingy, but we felt safe. We never saw another tenant. The tub enclosure was coming off which allows water to seep under the tub and the floor feels spongy around it, probably some water damage. But the shower was good and bathroom was clean. There were plenty of dishes and pots and pans to cook simple meals from ingredients purchased at the Tesco up the street. We didn’t try any of the take out restaurants close by. The bed was comfortable and had plenty of blankets and pillows. We enjoyed our stay in Edinburgh.
