"Hotel was good. Location was not. Not the Hotels fault. When booking online in the Hotels app, I put in Pikesville KY and searched. Second choice was this hotel. But it was in Paintsville KY 40 miles away in the wrong direction.
I rechecked the app and it did this consistently offering hotels that were many miles away from where I entered. I understand in a small town area like this there may be few choices, but it should tell you that these choices were not in the city you choose. "
"We liked this propery. Its updated decor, the good breakfast, carpetless floors, its cozy outdoor sitting areas. It was really enjoyable. We did read other reviews about the lamp charging ports not working and we found this true but brought in our own phone chargers and had no issues. Also want to add that the showerheads deliver AMAZING pressure!!!! Would come back just for that feature alone!!!!"
"This is a beautiful area and the lodge is wonderful. We had our own private balcony and the lodge is situated above the river. Gorgeous property and surroundings. Friendly, knowledgeable staff. "
"I started out in one of the original cabins. My toilet didn’t work so the staff put me up in a room at the lodge. The room was clean and had a beautiful view. The staff went above and beyond to see that my stay was enough to rank a return visit in the future. I can say that I will definitely be back again. "
